  I had an extremely disappointing experience with Enterprise. I specifically reserved a Chevrolet Corvette online because that was the exact vehicle I wanted. Knowing that specialty vehicles can sometimes be limited, I even called the rental location ahead of time to confirm my reservation. That’s when I was told they didn’t have a Corvette available at all. When I asked how I was able to reserve a Corvette if none were available, I was told that their reservation system allows “comparable vehicles” to satisfy the reservation. That explanation is completely unacceptable. If I wanted a comparable luxury or sports car, I would have reserved one. I intentionally chose a Corvette because that’s the vehicle I wanted to rent. Advertising a specific vehicle while knowing the reservation can simply be substituted with something else is misleading. A reservation for a Corvette should mean a Corvette, not “whatever we consider comparable.” The only reason I found out before driving to the location was because I took the initiative to call. Had I simply shown up expecting the car I reserved, I would have wasted my time and been forced to accept something I never wanted in the first place. This experience completely undermined my confidence in Enterprise’s reservation process. If you are renting a specialty or luxury vehicle, understand that your reservation apparently doesn’t guarantee the vehicle you selected. Based on this experience, I would not trust Enterprise with another specialty vehicle reservation and would recommend looking elsewhere if the exact car matters to you.
