  Very disappointed!! Our family had paid for a boat rental last summer and were unable to use it then. Not wanting to be out hundreds of dollars, we were told that we could save the credit and use it this summer. Due to hectic schedules and trying to find a time to get the whole family together we decided to save the trip until the end of the summer to use for my brother’s birthday party. We had spoken to many different employees over the last couple months and were assured that the credit was still valid. After speaking with the manager we were told that our credit had “expired”?! Never once were we told that there was an expiration date. No offer for a discounted rental, refund, nothing! Very upsetting to see how the customer service is here.

  We were shocked to learn the manager at the boat rental, Isaac, denied us a credit that we paid for and had been planning to use as a birthday party for a family member. We paid in June of last year, and when we decided to save the credit for this year‘s birthday, none of the staff notified us that there was a time limit and when we called again this summer in June, again they failed to notify us that there was a time limit in fact they were very nice and said we could use our credit whenever we wanted this summer so we decided to wait and use it for a birthday party. When we tried to book in August the manager, Isaac told us we could not have our party and the hundreds of dollars that we spent would be kept by them and that we should have read fine print of their terms and conditions. Other members of the staff said they felt bad for us and they understood but Isaac would not budge so now we are out hundreds of dollars and scrambling to find a meaningful birthday party and the funds to do it. If you’re looking for a local business that has a community feel this is NOT it. They would rather make a few bucks than be flexible. I’m not sure how many of y’all read all the pages of fine print in the terms and conditions but we were just going off of the conversations we had with the staff and we had no idea that we were at risk of losing our money and birthday party plans.

  Extremely disappointed with how this was handled. We had already paid hundreds of dollars for a boat rental that we weren’t able to use last summer, and we were specifically told by employees that we could use that credit this summer. We even called again earlier this summer, they found our credit, and told us to call whenever we were ready to book. Not ONE person we spoke with mentioned that the credit had a one-year expiration date. We had been saving it specifically to take our son out on the boat for his birthday. When we called today to finally book it, we were suddenly told by the manager, Isaac, that our credit had expired and there was nothing he would do about it. What makes this so upsetting isn’t just losing hundreds of dollars, our child now cannot have the boat birthday we had planned for him because of this. Had ANY of the employees we spoke with told us about the one-year rule, we obviously would have booked before it expired. We’ve rented from and supported this business before, which makes the complete lack of flexibility or consideration even more disappointing. We weren’t asking for anything for free. We were asking to use money we had already paid them, after their own employees repeatedly told us our credit was available. Really disappointing way to treat a returning customer and a family who had been looking forward to celebrating their child’s birthday

  It’s a bummer to leave a bad review over just one person but Isaac was the decision maker. I have supported and rented from EMM boat rentals more than once, last year I paid a head and then was unable use my time. The guys working there told me no problem, I can use it next summer (this summer). I called early this summer and they found my credit and told me “call us whenever you’re ready” we’d be happy to have you, absolutely NO mention of an expiration date.I tried to book it today for my son’s birthday and Isaac the manager told me, it had expired and “I should have read the fine print”. So now I’m out hundreds of dollars and the birthday party we’d been planning all year is ruined! If you are looking for a business with a “friendly community feel” this is NOT it. They would rather swindle you out of a few bucks than be flexible for a boys birthday party. I never really leave bad reviews but I was shocked at Isaac’s decision to do this to our family after we have supported them in the past so I just had to. Our whole family is disappointed 😔

  Well it is what it says it is . No access to lake unless you are a member. But it looks packed and lots of concrete. For boaters the covered slips are probably ideal.
