Let’s start off by saying I’ve shopped at Autozone for my lifetime, and after this experience, I really don’t ever wanna go back. I have a commercial account I bring y’all plenty of Business. As of recently, it seems like I’m always running into a problem, whether it be commercials closed, oh we don’t do commercial at this store, oh you can only return commercial stuff before 5 PM, and that’s just the name a few. Well, this location topped all of those. I was trying to make a return from something that I purchased (Normal price not my commercial account), And it even says you can return to any Autozone location. Well, this location could not scan my receipt for whatever reason. The manager told me I have to go back to the store where I purchased the item, In my 32 years of life, I’ve never heard this if I had a receipt. He wouldn’t even give me store credit because I didn’t purchase it at this location. Then before I left, he notified me that I’m probably gonna end up getting merchandise credit, umm Excuse me? I purchased it with cash. Never in my life have I presented a receipt to somebody and not been able to return it and also that I will get merchandise credit when I paid cash. If you have a receipt you should have no problem returning something, And getting it back with whatever method you paid with. If I paid with merchandise credit, I’d have no problem getting the credit back. But if I take cash, and you’re giving me store credit, why would I want to spend any more money with y’all? You do horrible business. And I’m going to leave the managers identity out of this, Because maybe he’s trained to do this I don’t know. What happened to the days where there was actually rules/laws in place to protect the consumer and make sure Businesses are doing the right thing? Anyway, if you go on The Autozone website, or if you look at the pictures above, you can clearly see the phone number for corporate and the hours. I called them a few minutes after 7, which they close at eight central time ( if math is hard, that’s a little over 50 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSE). I got some recording, and then they asked me if I wanted to leave a message and I said yes. Oh sorry, not happening. Mailbox is full try again. Man autozone, you have really gone downhill. I haven’t ever had as much trouble with yall as I have the past 3 months. And I can guarantee you, if I go to the store, which is 45 minutes away (I’m a mobile mechanic so I go wherever is closest), And y’all give me store credit or don’t even let me return it, you’re going to lose my business as a consumer and commercially. Just remember. There is always an O’Reillys or advanced auto parts within walking distance of any Autozone.
