I am extremely disappointed with how Tommy’s Car Wash handled my damage claim. During my wash, their equipment broke both my rear windshield wiper and the wiper arm. I was told they would replace them, so I expected the issue to be fully resolved. Later, I received a email saying the parts were ready to be picked up. When I asked about the labor to actually install the new wiper arm, I was told that Tommy’s only covers the cost of the parts, but that they worked in partnership with Advance Auto Parts and that they would install everything for free. That turned out to be completely false. Advance Auto Parts informed me that they only install the windshield wiper blade, not the entire wiper arm. They even told me that Tommy’s Car Wash needs to stop telling customers they provide that service for free because it isn’t true. As a result, I had to pay out of my own pocket to have both the wiper arm and the wiper installed, even though the damage was caused by Tommy’s equipment. I understand accidents can happen, but what matters is how a company handles them. Covering only the parts while giving customers inaccurate information about the installation is frustrating and misleading. I expected Tommy’s to take responsibility for the damage they caused, not leave me paying additional expenses because of misinformation. I hope they improve their claims process and are more honest with customers in the future.

I’ve had a membership at Tommy’s car wash for over a year. I was in the area where it directs you to put the car on neutral and the wash had just started when an employee came out and signaled me to stop. She told me to put it in drive and and turn my wheels to the left because I was too close to the sprayer. She started directing me and suddenly I heard a crunch and stopped, she grabbed her head in panic at which time I got out of my vehicle. She had caused me to run into a sprayer that messed up my car and they had to use special tools to remove it. The manager came out and I said that her employee was directing me to which the employee immediately went inside. She told me that it was my fault because I was to far to the right. I took video and you can see where I would have been fine if I would have continued to drive straight without her interference. All I wanted was for them to accept responsibility. They asked me to get back in my car and leave or they would call the police. I said go ahead I want an incident report. The police was called and so was the higher manager. She said I caused them to shut the car wash and lose business. They never told me to move my car because it was causing them to lose business, I would have moved only i couldn’t, there were cars in front and behind me. They said they have cameras and of course I am glad because it shows the whole thing. They wanted me to give them my information and I refused until the police came. All I wanted was for them to accept responsibility. My car is a 2000 Buick Park Avenue and never have had an accident or ticket. I am a very careful driver and take excellent care of my car. The police came and got my information and then went to talk to the manager. They both came to me and said that if I had a complaint to take it to civil court. They said I was traspassing on private property and that I was banned from ever showing up at any Tommy’s Car wash. I asked the policeman if he was being biased -based on the long conversation he had with the manager to which he said that if I had a complaint to go to the police station and handed me a small piece of paper with his name and where I could go to file.

This location never fails to make their members wait in line while letting the other lane through. It’s becoming a safety hazard having the lanes block traffic on the main road while there is PLENTY of room to allow a car or two past the barriers. This has happened the past 3 times I’ve been to this location only.

If my car hadn't been quite so dirty, it would have gotten clean with the $10 wash. I'll need to go back sooner next time.
