Well well where can I start? If this is the level of customer service AutoZone considers acceptable from a store manager, then the company has a much bigger problem than a missing oil filter. I went to the AutoZone at 9800 Dyer Street in El Paso specifically for the advertised promotion offering a free oil filter with the purchase of five quarts of qualifying oil. From the moment I walked in, the manager acted like helping customers was a chore. No greeting, no explanation of promotions, not even a basic attempt at service. She just asked what I needed in an annoyed tone and rang me up without explaining anything. The U.S. is known for customer service. I found none of it here. When I got home, I checked my receipt and saw I was charged for an STP XL filter, but given a standard one. If I hadn’t checked, I wouldn’t have known. I went back expecting a simple fix, but instead was told all filters are basically the same and they just charge for the XL. That makes no sense. When I asked if they really expected me to use a five thousand mile filter with ten thousand mile oil, she went quiet, then admitted they didn’t even have the filter. So my question was, why wasn’t I told this before paying? If I had known, I would have gone elsewhere instead of wasting my time. I wasn’t looking to argue. I just wanted a refund for something I didn’t receive. And this isn’t an isolated incident. On a previous visit, they sold me the wrong brake parts for my vehicle, which also cost me time and multiple trips. At some point, so many “mistakes” stop feeling random. To every customer, check your receipt before leaving and make sure what’s in the box matches what you paid for. AutoZone has built a strong reputation, but experiences like this destroy it. I hope corporate takes a hard look at how this location is being managed, because customers deserve honesty, professionalism, and basic respect. Careful with this place!

JULIAN ENRIQUEZ and ANA ALFARO, were on their A-game on 08/15/26. It was raining and I wound up with a nail in my tire. Mind you I’m staying in the Lower Valley. I had to stop three times to use my air compressor to add air to my tire.
I walked in, they pointed me in the right direction to their tire plug kits. They got me in and out quick enough where my I didn’t mess up my aluminum wheels.
I greatly appreciate their help and not having to replace a rim too. I greatly appreciate their assistance. Without them, I’d be spending a bit more.
