Have nothing but great things to say about the service I received from this Safelite location. I took my 2018 Camaro in to have the windshield replaced after a rock cracked it on the highway. I scheduled the appointment online, showed up to the store, and they had me in and out in about an hour and a half.
Unfortunately, the first windshield installed was not the correct one for my car. I fully attribute that to the online scheduling system, which never asked about the specific options my vehicle has. The employees at this location had zero control over that. Since my car is a 2SS 1LE, it has additional features that most Camaros do not, including a HUD, Forward Collision Assist, and a Performance Data Recorder. Those features require a specific windshield in order to function properly.
As soon as I got into the car, I noticed the HUD was reflecting incorrectly on the glass. I brought it to the technician’s attention, and he immediately recognized the issue. He was extremely transparent, professional, and apologetic about the inconvenience. We went back inside, scheduled another appointment, and ordered the correct glass.
When the day came, I brought the car back in and left completely satisfied. Everything worked exactly as it should. I also noticed on the receipt that the correct windshield was more expensive than the original one installed, yet they still honored the original price and never asked me to pay the difference. That level of customer service and accountability goes a long way.
There are not many places these days where you can genuinely trust people with your vehicle, but this is certainly one of them. If I ever need glass repaired or replaced again, I would not hesitate to bring any of my vehicles right back here.
