  Absolute nightmare experience. Never rent from them. TL;DR: I rented a car that smelled so badly of cirgarettes I couldnt use it. Barely drove it. Was promised a full refund and never received it. Finally was charged $1500 dollars for damages I didn't cause and can barely see in photos. So for a grand total of about $1800 I got to drive from DFW to Plaza of Americas and reek of cigarettes. Long story: I rented a Sixt car from DFW. I noticed a little smell at first, but didn't think much of it. As I was driving to my airbnb it dawned on me that the car smelled so badly of cigarettes that I couldn't use it. When I arrived at the airbnb my colleague could smell the smoke on me so we were unable to use the car for our sales meetings. We used his car and uber. I returned the car to Plaza of the Americas two days later and asked for a full refund. I had driven a total of 25 miles form DFW to the airbnb (where it sat in the garage), then to Plaza of the Americas. Th person behind the desk promised a full refund but said it may take a couple days. A couple days later I've been charged the full amount and I recived an invoice for damages to the car. Apparently a 2 inch scratch was found. I can't really see it in the photos. I did not hit anything. The car was in a garage. I completed a total of two trips. DFW-> Airbnb. Airbnb -> Plaza of the Americas. I have included the photos of the $1500 scratch that I never saw and did not cause.

  Got a call 10 minutes before reservation pickup just to find out the car I paid for wasn’t available. I had to take an Uber to the location with my disabled child just to have to spend 50 dollars on an Uber to Sixt and 50 back. Don't recommend renting from this location.And the worker Daisy didn’t even try to help

  It's about time there's a rental place downtown that isn't a total mess. Kim was great and pickup/drop off was easy. I know this location is new so I hope the experience stays like this. I will be booking with them in the future.

  Overall, the staff was friendly and did what they could to help, which I appreciated. However, I reserved and paid in full for a RAV4 or similar SUV for 5 days with a 4:00 p.m. pickup, and when I arrived, there were no vehicles available in that class. After waiting until around 5:30 p.m., the only option offered was a much smaller two-door BMW sedan. They were kind enough to let me take the BMW without charging an upgrade fee, which I appreciated, and I accepted it because I had already been waiting so long. I understand it was a busy time with the World Cup and that many customers were extending their rentals. However, I don’t think extensions should be approved if it means customers with prepaid reservations are left without the vehicle class they reserved. Paying in advance should guarantee that the reserved vehicle or at least a comparable one, is available. While the staff handled the situation professionally, the reservation process itself was disappointing.
