Due to some unforeseen circumstances I needed to get my Buick serviced in Dallas area. Chose Sewell and they handled the service fine. Thing is 1 week later my A/C was not working again, same issue that led me to take it in. Since I live in Georgetown I had to return to Dallas to get it reworked on. They got me a loaner car and then proceeded to tell me they would not know what was wrong till Monday. Having dropped it off on a Thursday I had to work out keeping loaner car till the following week. Made trip back up to get car and found out they found another leak and had a new part to put in. Part was $13 or so and then I was charged an additional $320 labor. In all of my business I’ve owned I always covered labor on something having to be reworked on so to say the least was not happy. I have no problem paying for additional parts but the problem should have been fixed first time. Won’t be back

I purchased a 2020 Lexus GX460 from Sewell in June 2025 at 33,813 miles. As part of the sale, Sewell provided a signed pre-owned vehicle inspection report completed by their technician, documenting front brake pads at 6mm and rear brake pads at 8mm.
Eleven months later, at just 38,000 miles, only 4,200 miles driven since purchase, I was told my front brake pads were at 2mm and needed immediate replacement. I visually confirmed this myself. Approximately 2,300 of those 4,200 miles were a cross-country highway trip with minimal braking. Brake pads do not wear 4mm in 4,200 miles under any normal driving condition. This is not mechanically possible.
When I contacted Sewell with the signed inspection report as evidence, the manager’s response was that the wear was “due to use” and that “it’s been a year.” Neither explanation accounts for the documented mileage or the physics of brake wear.
When I requested to speak with a technician to discuss the brake measurements directly, the manager refused to connect me with one. For a dealership disputing a documented safety discrepancy, refusing access to a technician speaks for itself.
When we asked whether Sewell has any quality control process for their pre-owned vehicle inspections, the manager was unable to answer the question. For a dealership whose entire used vehicle sales process is built on the credibility of their inspection reports, this was deeply concerning and consistent with multiple other recent reviews describing the same pattern of inspection failures.
If you are considering purchasing a used vehicle from Sewell, I strongly recommend independently verifying all safety-critical items documented in their inspection report before driving off the lot.

Recently I spoke to Rachel at Sewell over the phone regarding a rare car, Range Rover Convertible. Did she know everything about the car? No, she did not. But she tirelessly found the answers and immediately got back to us time and time again. So thorough, so responsive and so professional. She gave us the comfort level to fly in and buy a car. I have ALS, so travel is very difficult for me. Again, the comfort level to fly in and buy a car. Who does that? I had such a fantastic experience with Sewell.
