  I chose Sewell because of the reputation they promote in their advertising and customer service messaging. Unfortunately, my experience did not live up to those expectations. I brought my Sierra in for a water leak coming from the shark fin antenna area. Because the service department was busy, they were unable to diagnose the issue immediately. I was sent home via Uber, as I was told loaner vehicles are only provided to customers who purchased their vehicle from Sewell. While inconvenient, I understood that policy. After the vehicle was inspected, I was informed they could not reproduce or identify the problem, so I was asked to pick up the truck with the issue unresolved. The very next time it rained, the leak occurred again. This time I documented the issue with photos and video before bringing the truck back for a second visit. What disappointed me most was not the fact that the vehicle had a warranty issue, but how the situation was handled. After the first visit, the problem was misdiagnosed and I had to make a second trip, arrange transportation again, and spend more than $100 out of pocket on Uber rides. Despite the repeat visit, I still was not offered a loaner vehicle and received very little communication regarding the status of the repair. After three days without updates or callbacks, I stopped by the dealership myself and was told the truck repair was completed but being detailed at a sister dealership and could be picked up before 8 PM. The repair was ultimately covered under warranty, which I appreciate, but there was little acknowledgment that the initial diagnosis was incorrect and that the second visit (and additional inconvenience) could have been avoided.
