This is what happens when family-owned businesses are bought out and swallowed up by giants—in this case, Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway—leaving behind the care and comfort of the drivers, the authentic, home-cooked meals served by waitresses, the excellent service, the personal touch, and all the other amenities. Now it’s just a dirty business. They tell us: hand over your money, grab a burger, fill up your tank, and get out of here—don’t even think about parking overnight or for more than three hours! This isn’t a “mom-and-pop business,” nor is it the golden standards of the past like the old Flying J, Pilot, Union 76, TA, Petro, Rip Griffin TC, Williams TC, Road Ranger, and others. All that’s left are Bosselman, Little America, Sapp Bros., Love’s, Kwik Trip/Star, Wawa, and nothing but memories of the past... And the hope that they won’t chase you away during the day—and especially at night—so you can manage to get some sleep amid all this chaos. The staff are rude and incompetent; they don’t even say hello, as if they don’t care about their own work—or about us. As a result, everyone has been driven away; there are practically no places to park for more than three hours or overnight, yet there are businesses—and us. In Dallas, I noticed there’s a real problem with parking and safety. Where’s that massive $2.4 trillion economy? Doesn’t Texas have enough money for parking? It’s ridiculous—poorer states find the money for this. Managers, take a lesson from the cowboys.

It’s sad that truck drivers drive long hours and spend so much time away from their families and when they come into get some warm food or take a shower, they are treated with very poor customer service from the employees that work, especially at this location. The manager had no type of customer service she allowed for her workers to cuss and disrespect the customer. It just started a whole scandal inside of the store. Lynn you should not work with people. She couldn’t even ask her employees to stop because it looked like she was in fear for her life of them.

Extremely frustrating experience at this Pilot location. Drivers pay expensive parking fees here expecting at least a minimum level of safety and respect. I paid $25 for Prime Parking, parked responsibly, and still had my trailer seal broken during the night by someone trying to steal from the trailer. What makes this even more frustrating is seeing security being extremely aggressive and rude toward tired working drivers over parking enforcement, while actual criminals are apparently able to enter the lot, break seals, and attempt theft without any problem. I understand rules need to be enforced, and people who do not pay should be addressed, but there is a respectful way to treat professional drivers who are exhausted after long hours on the road. The attitude from security here was unnecessarily hostile and intimidating. I had previously read reviews mentioning these issues but never imagined I would personally experience having my trailer tampered with inside a paid parking area that supposedly has active security. This place gives the impression that security is only tough with hardworking truck drivers, not with the people actually committing crimes in the parking lot. Very disappointing experience.
