We had an absolutely terrible experience trying to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. The entire process was filled with poor communication, broken promises, and what appeared to be repeated misrepresentations to my elderly parents. They were outright disrespectful. We placed a deposit on a Tesla, only to later learn that it had serious electrical issues that the dealership was attempting to repair without informing us. Despite this, we received multiple phone calls confirming that the vehicle was ready for delivery. We were specifically told the tires had been replaced, the curb rash on the wheels had been repaired, the car had been detailed, charged and that we should bring our trade-in to complete the purchase at 4 PM. My parents drove over an hour to the dealership and waited nearly two hours, only to be told the vehicle wasn't even on the property. The evening prior I spoke to Marvin who told me that the car would be ready and he was looking it at on the charger to ensure it was ready for my parents. He claimed to be the manager, but that is not the title on the website. Later, we were told it had been sent to auction because wiring had allegedly been damaged by rodents. If that was the case, why were we called multiple times and assured the vehicle was ready for pickup? Why did they take a deposit? Deceptive. To make matters worse, my parents are handicapped and were forced to make multiple unnecessary trips. On their first visit, despite having an appointment that was confirmed the day before, the vehicle wasn't ready, wasn't charged, couldn't even be test-driven, and was filthy. They were left waiting because the dealership simply wasn't prepared. After this experience, I contacted Sales Director Hayms Badai hoping someone would take ownership of the situation. He was dismissive, offered no meaningful assistance, and never called back with any resolution. The entire experience demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, honesty, and respect for customers' time. We are now trying to recover our deposit, which should never have become an issue in the first place. I have since spoken with others in the automotive industry who were unfortunately not surprised by our experience. Based on everything we went through, I cannot recommend doing business with this dealership. One of them said, "Clay Cooley does not care what happens in his stores, and every one of them is a shitshow". Buyer beware.

I had an amazing experience purchasing my vehicle! Nailah found the exact vehicle I was looking for and kept in constant communication with me throughout the entire process. She was never pushy or overly sales-focused, which made me feel very comfortable and confident in my decision. I really appreciated that there was never any pressure to finance through the dealership or purchase a bunch of extras that I didn't want. They respected my choices and made the process stress-free. They were also the ones who consistently followed up with me instead of me having to chase them down. While I was at the dealership, the Internet Manager, I believe her name was McKayla, also stopped by to check on me and make sure everything was going well. That extra level of customer service really stood out. Overall, I highly recommend this dealership. I am extremely happy with both my purchase and my experience. If you're shopping for a vehicle, definitely ask for Nailah. She is fantastic!

My patience is wearing thin with this dealership. I put $10,000 down on my vehicle and continue to deal with issues that should have been resolved long ago. Management agreed in writing to provide me with a spare key, I was told by Don that they will order the part and call me when it’s at the dealership for me to come to get my car programmed, yet instead of honoring that agreement directly, I was instructed to contact a third-party company and file a claim myself. When I did, the claim was denied because the third party informed me that Clay Cooley Volkswagen was responsible for providing the spare key, not them. While I received my license plate, I experienced delays and confusion regarding my registration tags as well. This experience has been filled with delays, conflicting information, and being passed from one person or company to another without resolution. I have made multiple good-faith efforts to resolve these matters directly with the dealership and have been patient throughout the process, but a $10,000 down payment and written agreements should not result in months of follow-up for promised items and basic customer service. At this point, I am simply asking the dealership to honor the commitments it made and provide the level of customer service that should accompany such a significant purchase. If these issues remain unresolved, I am prepared to pursue additional action through the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, the Texas Attorney General's Office, the Federal Trade Commission, and Volkswagen of America to seek an appropriate resolution. **I AM NOT TAKING THIS REVIEW DOWN**

Two Confirmations, One Wasted Trip, ZERO INTEGRITY! My husband and I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Clay Cooley Volkswagen of Park Cities. Early this morning, we confirmed that the exact vehicle we wanted was available. The salesperson even sent us videos of the car. At 11:00 a.m., we confirmed yet again that it was still available and were encouraged to come to the dealership. We arrived at 12:05 p.m. After taking some of our information, the salesperson returned with a manager and suddenly informed us that the very vehicle we had been discussing all morning was “under contract”—but assured us they could show us several other options instead. To us, this felt like a classic bait-and-switch. If the vehicle was truly unavailable, we should have been told before we drove across town and rearranged our day. Instead, it appeared that getting us in the door was more important than being honest about the inventory. As a bonus, they managed to waste the time of not one, but two busy lawyers who also have 3 young kids—a genuinely terrible life choice. I bill by the hour; apparently, they waste it by the customer. We immediately left. Consumers deserve transparency, honesty, and respect for their time. If a vehicle is under contract, say so. Don’t invite customers to the dealership under one set of facts only to pivot to different inventory once they arrive. We will not be returning, and I strongly encourage prospective buyers to proceed with caution.

Buying a car can be stressful, but my experience at Clay Cooley Volkswagen was anything but. From the very beginning, Mikayla made me feel like a priority by setting up my appointment and checking on me throughout the day to make sure everything was going smoothly. That level of communication made a huge difference and she just radiated good energy. Jakiya W. was my salesperson, and she was fantastic. She was calm, professional, knowledgeable, patient, and never made me feel pressured. She answered all of my questions, gave me the time I needed to finalize my decision, and made the entire process enjoyable. Her level of dedication was like nothing I’ve ever seen. Case in point; when I was ready to leave, she had already moved my toll tag from my old car and installed it for me in my new car; along with my plates and several other vehicle accessories. That is just 1 example of about 50 things that she did that put her light years above any salesperson I have EVER worked with. I cannot say enough about how great she was. 10/10 - no notes!!! The finance manager (I believe her name was Michael) was also wonderful. She explained everything clearly, made the paperwork easy to understand, and helped the signing process go smoothly. (And her office smelled AMAZING!) One of my favorite parts of the experience was meeting a few team members from Guyana. As someone from the Caribbean, it was such a pleasant surprise to connect over our shared culture. Those brief conversations made the experience feel even more personal and welcoming. Everyone I encountered was warm, smiling and friendly; from the lady at the front reception to the various sales and service personnel walking by. I drove away in my beautiful 2025 BMW 228 xDrive, and I couldn’t be happier with both the car and the way I was treated. In a world of judgmental and unkind people, it was amazing to encounter nothing but kindness at CC. If you’re looking for a dealership that values professionalism, great customer service, and genuinely making customers feel welcome, I highly recommend Clay Cooley Volkswagen.
