This has been, by far, the worst car dealership experience I've ever had. I've owned my Hyundai Elantra for almost a year now, and when it came time for routine maintenance, I was told to expect to wait 2–4 hours just for a basic service appointment. That's completely unreasonable, especially when other service centers can complete the same work in under an hour. I'm extremely disappointed with the level of customer service at Clay Cooley Hyundai. Long wait times with little regard for customers' time are unacceptable. I ultimately took my car elsewhere, where the service was completed in less than 40 minutes. I've already contacted Hyundai Corporate and filed a formal complaint regarding my experience, so I expect they will be reaching out to the dealership. Hyundai should seriously reconsider allowing Clay Cooley to represent their brand if this is the level of service customers are receiving. Clay Cooley could learn a lot from service centers that value their customers' time and provide efficient, professional service.

BEWARE, especially if you're female and don't really need three men in the span of 30 seconds dictating your experience. **Your reply to my review means squat. It's PR and nothing more. I've since looked more in depth at others experiences in your dealerships and this is a long standing issue. DO BETTER as a business. Your reply implies you'll push this off on your employees and not acknowledge your broken culture ** Disgustingly high pressure sales tactics. I literally wasn't even parked or out of my own car when it began. I actually dropped something out of my bag as I was scrambling to get out of my vehicle because the salesman was at my car door already pushing me into the building. Did I even lock my car? I don't know. And then when I was inside I was instantly made to give my personal information and guided to sit in a chair towards the back of the building so we could discuss financing. I told them that made me uncomfortable and the reply was if I could get you a really good deal today would you be more comfortable - GROSS. When I asked to walk around and look at cars because and take in some things on my own, I was told they needed to check me in before they would bring me a car. I don't need anyone to bring me a car! I've been in the building less than 30 seconds and on your property for under a minute. I've told you none of this is appreciated and I would just like to have a normal conversation like a human being who is an adult and capable of making my own damn decisions. Give me a damn breath for crying out loud. So that was it, I left. One of the guys literally followed me out of the building asking what was wrong . The answer is everything. It was all wrong. Too bad because I was there to buy a brand new vehicle with money down, a trade-in, and a really great credit score. Shame on you Clay Cooley. You should not be treating anyone this way in your dealership. Women should especially not be subjected to this disgusting and predatory behavior. You should not be teaching these high pressure sales tactics to your staff. I felt like chum thrown to the sharks. What an impressively terrible experience.

I had a very disappointing experience with Clay Cooley. From the beginning, I clearly explained that I was not looking for a brand-new vehicle. My goal was a reliable used or certified pre-owned SUV within my budget. I was told over the phone that I had an approval and only needed to complete identity verification. After making the trip to the dealership, everything changed. Instead of discussing my needs or showing me inventory that matched what I requested, I was immediately steered toward a 2026 Hyundai Elantra with only 20 miles on it—something I had already said I wasn't interested in. The finance manager then said I needed $6,500 down and a co-signer. The entire process felt like my expectations and budget were ignored. To make matters worse, Aaron, the floor manager, came across as arrogant and dismissive rather than trying to understand what I was actually looking for. After leaving, I went to Hendrick Volkswagen in Frisco, and the experience couldn't have been more different. They listened to my needs, found me a 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan with a third row, required no co-signer, no $6,500 down payment, and got me into an affordable monthly payment. My vehicle also came with several dealership service packages that added even more value. The difference between the two dealerships was night and day. Customer service starts with listening to the customer, and unfortunately, that didn't happen at Clay Cooley.

Requested a quote on a vehicle - had some back and forth with an agent, received what I thought was a reasonable price (aligned with the “internet” price I saw posted), so booked an appointment to test drive and buy if terms were as advertised. Arrive on time, only to wait ~25 minutes to go out and look at / test drive the vehicle (mind you, there are no less than 8 workers roaming around doing nothing, on a Saturday morning). Car drives well, but don’t like the trim variant, so request to see the next tier up - wait another 25 minutes. Love the car, ask for pricing information on this trim. The “finance manager” comes over - with the price terms. Price is higher than advertised on both the original vehicle and next level trim - I bring up the discussions I had ahead of time and the price I was quoted. I say if I can get the same $ off the higher trim as I was offered the first vehicle (I.e. 27 down to 24 on the first trim, so if I could get 29 down to 26, the same 3k off) I’m good to purchase the car. The “finance manager” then asks who I spoke to - I give the name, show the texts, he scoffs and says that it was an AI agent acting as an agent of the dealership and that they wouldn’t honor the quoted price or the internet price. Immediately get up and leave and will be buying this vehicle elsewhere. Again, 8+ people doing nothing on a Saturday - and they can’t be bothered to have a real person handle quotes and negotiations or have anything ready on time for a scheduled appointment. Don’t waste your time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Car Buying Experience! I cannot say enough amazing things about Cedric and Will at Clay Cooley Hyundai! From the moment I walked through the doors until the moment I drove off the lot, they delivered what was hands down the BEST car-buying experience I have ever had. Cedric and Will went far above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. They didn’t just try to sell me a vehicle—they genuinely listened to my needs, answered every question with patience, kept me informed throughout the entire process, and worked tirelessly to make sure the deal happened. Their professionalism, honesty, knowledge, and dedication were unmatched. At no point did I feel pressured; instead, I felt valued, respected, and appreciated as a customer. What impressed me the most was their determination. They refused to give up until they found the perfect solution for me, and their commitment to exceptional customer service truly speaks volumes about their character. They treated me like family rather than just another sale, and that level of care is rare to find these days. Cedric and Will are without question a tremendous asset to Clay Cooley Hyundai. Employees like them are the reason customers return and recommend the dealership to friends and family. Their work ethic, integrity, and passion for helping people set the standard for what outstanding customer service should look like. Clay Cooley should be incredibly proud to have Cedric and Will representing the dealership. They exemplify excellence, professionalism, and genuine care in every interaction. If you’re looking for a dealership that values its customers and a team that will work relentlessly on your behalf, ask for Cedric and Will—you will not be disappointed. Thank you both for making what is often a stressful experience into one that was enjoyable, exciting, and memorable. You’ve earned a customer for life, and I will gladly recommend you to everyone I know!
