I visited Earth Motorcars on the afternoon of 04/11/26 , to take a look at a 911 that they had listed online for somewhere around $115k at the time. This was the first time I'd ever visited this dealership, and I was looking to finally purchase myself a "fun" $100k+ vehicle now that both of my kids are grown.
I'd been looking at a variety of cars for a little bit at this point, but I'd finally narrowed it down to a couple of vehicles I thought would best suit was I looking for: a 992 911, 2017+ r8 and the c8 z06. An employee of the establishment (unsure of their title), named Alex posts content online that I've enjoyed for quite a while, I realized that the dealership was nearby, had both a z06 and a 911 in stock, so I figured I'd pay Earth Motorcars a visit to check the cars out.
During my visit, I was browsing their inventory and eventually asked an employee about test driving a vehicle I was interested in purchasing, to which I was told they "don't do test drives", later contradicting themselves saying that we could "finalize numbers and then test drive the vehicle", which is a potential waste of time for everyone involved. Why would I be expected to sit down and finalize numbers (realistically taking somewhere in the ballpark of 30 minutes), for a vehicle that I have no idea whether or not I will enjoy driving?
I presumed there was some sort of underlying skepticism as to whether or not I could afford the vehicle, so I offered to show the salesman proof of funds (to show that i could comfortably purchase the car multiple times over), but he insisted on what they'd mentioned earlier, so I decided to just leave.
On my home, I decided to stop at a Porsche dealership that was on the way and my experience was substantially better, and much more aligned with what you'd anticipate experiencing when you are actively trying to purchase a $100,000+ car from them. I was promptly helped by a salesman at Porsche, they were helpful, answered my questions and were happy to let me test drive a nearly $200k 911, without talking about numbers, or even asking for any sort of proof of my ability to afford the vehicle. Unfortunately.. it'd begun downpouring, which we agreed wouldn't allow for safe road conditions for a test drive, exchanged details and rescheduled our test drive for a later date. (And if anyone from Earth MotorCars responds to my review; No, it was not raining at any point during our visit, and road conditions were entirely compatible with conducting a safe test drive.)
Touching back on Earth MotorCars; their dealership is absolutely flawless, they have a beautiful and diverse selection of vehicles, well designed showroom/warehouse, etc. However, the salesman I encountered (assuming that what they'd told me about Earth's test driving policies is accurate), ruined the experience for me and will more likely than not cause me to not consider them as a prospective dealership for my current/future car purchases.
My final rating for Earth MotorCars is a 2/5. I'm giving them 1 star for their incredible selection of vehicles + their well designed facilities, and another star for Alex's YouTube content they do at the dealership which is fairly entertaining to watch. The remaining three stars are all being deducted from my rating due to everything else I've listed.
To any potential future customers, especially those looking at some higher-end makes/models, I'd advise to just take your business elsewhere. Unless you are certain on what you're wanting heading into the dealership (knowing how the car drives, the interior feel/material, etc.), then coming here is completely entirely pointless. I had high hopes coming here, really disappointing.
*Added detail I'd forgotten, this same salesman didn't offer to/allow me to even sit in the car, or open any doors to allow me to get a better sense of the interior.*
