  If your going to go to Canyon Lake to rent a boat consider going to Canyon Lake Marina instead. We are a member of Suntex Boat Club and my wife and I visited both Cranes and Canyon Marina's recently and Canyon is the better choice and easier access if your coming in from the New Braunsfel/Gruene area. Also there is a ton of logs and debris that you have to avoid while boating around the Cranes Mill Marina.

  We came to the Marina not knowing what to expect and ended up renting a tritoon for half the day. Staff got us lifejackets and a tube for the kiddos first time tubing. It was a great day and we had a blast. Robin was great in explaining everything about the lake including points of interest and what to be aware of while on the water. Thanks for a memorable day!

  Boat was amazing. Everything was perfectly set up, clean, and ready to go. Robin was a huge help getting everything going smoothly, and directions on the lake.

  We rented the Aloha 29 Double Decker with Slide from the Canyon Lake location for a 6‑hour Sunday outing, and overall had a great experience. The staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The store had everything we needed, and the bathrooms were clean. Their Sunday promotion (running through 9‑30‑26) saved us 25%, which was a huge plus. The boat was clean, the seats were comfortable, and the slide was a big hit with the kids. We chose this boat for its advertised 18‑person capacity, but realistically it fit about 13 comfortably. The fees were reasonable, though the damage waiver fee at checkout was $49 instead of the $44 listed online, and the booking fee wasn’t itemized. A couple of things could be improved: the lily pad we requested was a small torn piece, and the life jacket storage area had fire ants on the jackets. Despite those issues, the lake was beautiful and the kids had an amazing time. We’d rent here again, but hope to see clearer fee breakdowns and better equipment condition.
