- MRMark RodMay 12, 20261.0Went in with a Crack smaller than a dime trusted them to fix it. 2 months after repair windshield cracked nearly in half. I was told the day of the repair that if the cracked were to reopened or get bigger they would replace it on their end. When calling they give you some sad rundown of how suddenly it just an attempt to fix and dont promise anything now they are ready to charge me a $1000 plus for a new windshield. If they cant fix a small crack definitely dont trust them to replace a windshield. $180 for a job they didnt fix. At the time of the repair the crack was still visible. I should have just taken it anywhere else and had the job done right. I highly encourage anyone to look for another company to do the work safelite does not stand behind their work. Soon youll see response from them saying it just an attempt to fix the the Crack blah blah. They didnt say that at the time of the repair repair.
