  Every experience I’ve had with the Big Tex Trailer World location in Beaumont has been less than satisfactory, but this most recent experience was especially frustrating. I dropped off a truck Wednesday morning to have a flatbed and toolboxes installed. I was told it would be completed by Friday, which was no problem. When I checked Friday afternoon, I was told it would be Monday. On Monday, I was told Tuesday. On Tuesday, I was told the paint was drying and it would finally be ready Wednesday morning. Before dropping the truck off, I specifically told them that it was equipped with 360-degree cameras and BLIS (Blind Spot Information System). I was assured that this would not be a problem. When I finally picked the truck up, the warning indicators were showing system faults. I was also told they would be installing two matching 15x13x30 toolboxes. Instead, the truck was delivered with two different styles of toolboxes. Then, while I was sitting in the truck getting ready to leave, they rolled the spare tire out and informed me that it no longer fit underneath the truck. This was apparently something I was only going to find out at pickup. Between the repeated delays, the warning faults, mismatched toolboxes, and the spare tire issue, the entire experience was extremely disappointing. Communication and attention to detail were well below what I would expect from a professional upfitting shop. I would not recommend this location based on my experience. The only reason I’m not leaving one star is because, at the end of the process, I did at least receive a flatbed on the truck. I’ll be watching closely as we put the truck and bed into service to see whether any additional issues surface.
