- BCBrenda Carrillo1 day ago1.0Extremely Disappointing Customer Service at Advance Auto Parts on College Street in Beaumont, TX I had an absolutely terrible experience at this Advance Auto Parts location. My interaction with Jennifer, the manager, was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. I came in to address a battery warranty issue and expected the store to follow its warranty procedures. Instead, I felt that Jennifer was unwilling to work with me to resolve the issue and honor the applicable warranty process. During the conversation, I felt she was attempting to make me question my understanding of the situation. At one point, she even tried to take the receipt out of my hands, which I found completely unacceptable. What made the experience even worse was her comment that Advance Auto Parts is not O'Reilly's, where people expect to get their way. That remark was unnecessary, condescending, and completely inappropriate for someone in a managerial position. Jennifer also told me that if I purchased new batteries, they would not help me install them. This was particularly frustrating because my understanding is that this assistance is consistent with store policy. Customers should not have to argue to have a warranty concern addressed, feel belittled for asking questions, or be spoken to disrespectfully when seeking help. A manager should be focused on finding a solution, communicating store policies clearly, and treating customers with courtesy. I left this interaction extremely disappointed. Advance Auto Parts needs to review how warranty concerns are handled at this location and address the customer service issues I experienced. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this store. I hope corporate management takes this feedback seriously.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
