Franco was my assigned Technician and I wanted to say that Franco was extremely professional, showed up on time and just did a SUPERB job on replacing my trucks windshield and wipers!! SAFELITE comes highly recommended and now I can see exactly why they do!! Thank you Franco and SAFELITE!!!
Scheduled my appointment several days advance. Safelite gave me a five hour Arrival time window of 12 PM to 5 PM. The day came for the appointment. I removed my other vehicles from the driveway so the technician would have plenty of room to work. After waiting for three hours, I get a call from the technician saying that he has an emergency and would not be able to perform the repair today. While I'm sorry that someone has "emergency" I find this way of doing business highly unacceptable. 100% time Wasted. I'm glad I didn't pre-pay because then I would've been forced to reschedule another day and wait another five hours and also risk another flaky technician calling me to say that they couldn't make it. Instead, I called another glass company (Austin Quick Auto Glass) and they were able to come out the same evening. The appointment was made for 6 PM, and hey guess what, the technician arrived at 6 PM! None of this 5 hour window bs. He was done in about 30 mins. Safelite was trying to charge me $530. This other glass company charged me $313. Over $200 dollars less for better service!! Stay away from Safelite unless you don't mind wasting your time and paying a lot more money.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Safelite.
Safelite replaced my windshield on a Friday and placed tape on my vehicle as part of the installation. By the very next day, I could hear air coming through the windshield badly enough that it was obvious something was not right with the installation.
Because I am not a windshield technician, I left the tape exactly where Safelite had placed it. I had no way of knowing whether removing it could affect the windshield or whether it was helping hold or protect something after the installation. I contacted Safelite and had them come back out to address the air leak from their original work.
When the technician removed the tape that Safelite had applied, the tape pulled paint off my truck.
Now Safelite is telling me that the paint damage is my responsibility because Nissan Frontiers allegedly have a known paint issue/class-action lawsuit.
That explanation is unacceptable to me. The paint in the areas where Safelite placed the tape was in good condition before the windshield replacement. Safelite chose the tape, Safelite applied the tape, and the damage occurred when Safelite removed it while returning to correct an issue with their original installation.
I understand that a company cannot be responsible for every pre-existing problem with a vehicle. However, I do not believe a customer should be expected to absorb the cost of damage caused during a service simply because the company can point to an alleged issue associated with that vehicle model.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I was already having to deal with the inconvenience of having Safelite return because the windshield installation was allowing air into the vehicle. Instead of simply getting their original work corrected, I am now left with damaged paint and being told that repairing it is my responsibility.
My vehicle did not arrive with missing paint in those areas. It left Safelite's service with missing paint.
I expected Safelite to stand behind both its workmanship and any damage caused while performing or correcting that work. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend documenting and photographing your vehicle before having windshield work performed and being extremely cautious about any tape applied to painted surfaces.
I’d also keep the photos of the paint damage, the windshield/tape, your original insurance claim, and all Safelite communications. Since the windshield replacement originated as an insurance claim, documenting the subsequent damage with Hartford is worthwhile too.

Anytime you need a new window, its a stressful operation. But Safelite takes that pain away. The website is super easy to navigate, they handle the insurance (if using it) or the logistics. Many places have on-site installation, so you dont have to sit in a building somewhere for a couple of hours. They are super quick, they have this game down to a science, quick, fast and in a hurry, yet quality control is evident. I watched the entire process and was amazed at all that Andre did. He was very meticulous cleaning the new windshield, reinstalling my sticker in exactly the same places. The Mobile Service is just a good as the shop service. The new front windshield is immaculate. Andre also made sure all the radars and cameras were recalibrated to factory specs as well. The warranty is awesome as well. All in all, let Safelite handle your car glass needs, every time.

I had a pleasantly efficient experience at Safelight. Great communication and faster than expected window replacement and calibration. The only problem I experienced was with the location address link that Safelight sent to me via text message. The link took me to a grocery store shopping center strip that was roughly 10 minutes away from the actual location. I called provided the customer service number; however, the representative was not at my appointment location. She couldn’t actually help. My wife ended up looking up the Safelight location near us and we went there. I notified the Safelight representative, who assessed the address link, and identified the problem and said she would report it to have it corrected. Although I did not appreciate the misinformation, the service was really good, so my five star rating specifically addresses the location services.
