  Horrible service. I grew up in Austin and have rented from several different boat companies over the years — always great experiences. This time we decided to try Just For Fun, and it was a letdown. We were booked for 3:30–7:00. Check-in alone took forever because no one was at the office when we arrived; we were still waiting at 3:43 for someone to show up at the desk so we could get our drink voucher. The bigger problem came when they tried to secure the boat. The worker assigned to tie it off clearly didn’t know what he was doing, and we ended up sitting there confused about why we couldn’t start yet — even other boat captains nearby noticed and seemed confused by the delay. We weren’t actually tied off and ready to go until 4:55, nearly an hour and a half into our four-hour rental. When I brought this up with the captain afterward, he got defensive instead of acknowledging the issue. Don’t recommend using this company unless you want your time cut short & rude stuff

  We've booked with Just For Fun for our company party barge a few years running now, and they make it so easy every time. Their team was quick to respond, flexible with scheduling, and even helped us carry over a credit from our last event without any hassle. The boat itself was perfect for our group, water slide included, and the food and drink packages made planning simple on our end. Our whole team had a blast on the lake. Highly recommend for any company outing!

  We had a blast! Everyone we interacted with (employees) was great and treated us well and kept us all safe. Will go back again for sure.

  If I could leave 0 stars I would. Do not book with this company. Completely ruined my 21st birthday. I paid so much money to book this barge and celebrate with all of my friends just for the captain to kick off 6 of them over an employee miscommunication. The assistant captain Sean told people in my group they could jump off the cliff on the island so people did. All the other people on the boats parked next to us were also jumping off of it. All of a sudden the captain Quin comes up and starts yelling that we’re going home when we had barely been on the boat for an hour. He claimed that he told everyone that we weren’t allowed to jump off the cliff when he never said anything about it. I’ve booked with this company at least 4 times before and no one has ever said anything about jumping off the cliff. He then spent the next hour going around interrogating everyone about who was jumping off the cliff and threatening to take us all home. He said the six people that jumped had to be kicked off but there wasn’t even six people that jumped so some of my friends had to actually volunteer to leave just so he wouldn’t turn the whole boat around. He was incredibly disrespectful and would not listen or cooperate when we tried to talk to him and work things out. After calling another boat to pick up my friends and make them leave he had the audacity to come up to me while I was crying and say “life goes on”. He then tried to hit on one of my other friends which was disgusting. They also took us back at 6:45 when I had paid to be on the barge till 7:30. Don’t waste your time and money on these people they are incredibly unprofessional and rude
