Your vehicle's shocks, struts, and suspension are key components to ensure your vehicle's performance and a more comfortable ride. As such, it's important to properly maintain these components on your vehicle.
Nothing ruins a day faster than a dead car battery. Many factors could lead to your car not starting — a bad battery, failed alternator, or worn-out starter are just a few examples.
Our highly-trained auto technicians and mechanics have decades of experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing worn out car batteries. We understand how important a reliable car battery is for your car or truck to run and operate reliably. Every car battery replacement and installation we perform uses trusted brands and comes with a limited warranty on parts and service.
There's not much worse than getting in your car, turning that key and seeing that little exclamation point icon telling you that you have low tire pressure. But if you just filled up your tires yesterday and you're still seeing that warning, it may be time to replace your vehicle's TPMS sensor.

Jason, the tire technician, and Hughes, the store manager, provided outstanding customer service! They were professional, knowledgeable, and made sure I was taken care of throughout the entire process. Jason did a great job with the tire service, and Storm made sure everything went smoothly.
It's refreshing to deal with people who take pride in their work, treat customers with respect, and go the extra mile to make sure you're satisfied. These two are a great representation of what customer service should be.
Jason and Hughes, keep up the great work! I highly recommend Mais Tire in Amarillo, TX, and will definitely be back

I stopped here while passing through Amarillo on my way back to San Antonio and had an alignment done after replacing several front suspension components on my truck.
Four months later, after mostly highway driving, the tires that were in good shape when I moved them to the front now have significant wear on the inner edges. The truck is also pulling to the left, and I’m having to get the front end checked and aligned again before putting new tires on it.
What bothers me even more is that one of my wheel studs was broken while my truck was at this shop and nobody said anything to me about it. I didn’t notice it until after I had already left Amarillo.
Looking back, right before they handed me my keys, I remember the guy who did my alignment and the person at the front desk whispering to each other about something. I didn’t think anything of it at the time. After finding the broken stud, I can’t help but wonder if that’s what they were discussing. I obviously can’t say for certain, but it definitely doesn’t sit right with me now.
I’ll take some responsibility for not noticing the tire wear sooner and for not catching the broken stud before I left. But at the same time, I took my truck to a shop because I trusted them to do the work correctly and tell me if there was a problem. I didn’t think I needed to crawl around my truck in the parking lot and inspect their work before getting back on the highway.
Parts break and mistakes happen. I can understand that. What I can’t understand is breaking something as important as a wheel stud and sending a customer back onto the highway without saying anything.
Now, four months later, I’m dealing with severe inner-edge tire wear, another alignment, a new set of tires, and replacing the wheel stud.
UPDATE – October 2026:
After my original experience, Regional Manager Nick DeLeon reached out and convinced me to give Mavis another chance to make things right. Since I was out of town, my dad took my truck back in to have the alignment redone.
Instead of simply correcting the problems, Store Manager Storm started making excuses about my aftermarket suspension. He claimed my Eibach coilovers were “stretched” and causing the issue. They are not. They are adjustable coilovers set around 2.5 inches of lift and are designed to go higher.
Storm then told my dad the truck needed 20-inch wheels, which is also nonsense. I have run 17-inch wheels on this truck before, and the factory spare is literally a 17-inch wheel.
They then sold him new alignment cam hardware and installed it. Because of everything that had already happened with this shop, I did not trust the work and took the truck somewhere else to have it checked.
That shop confirmed the cam hardware had been installed incorrectly and that suspension/alignment hardware had been left loose.
So after already having problems with this location, giving them another opportunity to fix their mistake, and having a regional manager involved, I still ended up having to take the truck somewhere else to correct their work.
At this point, I would not trust this location with suspension or alignment work, especially on anything with an aftermarket suspension. Certifications on a shirt do not mean much when basic hardware is installed incorrectly and left loose.
I will also be following up with Mavis customer service regarding the additional money spent and the condition the truck was returned to me in.
