  Let me start by saying this device is for my fiancé and it is in a multi family used car. This company is an absolute scam! First off I was sent to a dumpy garage that literally looks like someone cooks meth out of a camper in the back. I showed up for my 8am appointment and he says your box isn’t going to be here until after 11am. So I have to reschedule appointment for next day because I have kids in school. Come back next day, get it i stalled. No instructions given except you blow, suck, blow. I paid $246.94 to have this obnoxiously large hunk of plastic on a tube stuck in my car and the mouth piece you blow in falls off literally every time you pick it up. I was told by Intoxalock that it gives you a count down of 3-6 minutes when it asks for a rolling retest while you are driving. ABSOLUTE AND COMPLETE LIE!!!!! When it gives 2 beeps and says blow, you better do it! Or it signals that you missed a test and then immediately tries to make you do it again, no count down, no safety! So I call to get the thing taken into the garage believing after what Intoxalock told me that they installed it wrong or the device was faulty and Intoxalock suggested I take it in & customer service even tells me it should give me a count down. Intoxalock calls 4 separate occasions on 2 separate days and cannot get anyone at the installers garage to answer the phone!!! So as if this isn’t a nightmare enough, now the place where I am supposed to go back to each month to calibrate isn’t answering. Intoxalock sends me to a new garage about 10-15 min away to get the check up done and tells me if they find something wrong with the install they pay for it but if not then it’s on me! I go and the lovely gentleman tells me straight up that none of the Intoxalock devices have ever given a countdown for rolling retests. He decides not to charge me for the trouble I have been through. He also told me that he can’t count the number of times he has had complaints about that “garage” that Intoxalock sends people to for calibrations because they don’t show up for calibration appointments and leave to go do tows during scheduled appointments, overcharge for services or just straight up don’t answer the phone. After leaving a nasty complaint Intoxalock calls to try to remedy things with me and want to give me a credit on my account for all of my trouble… here’s where it gets even better, I didn’t even realize I had a bill besides the $57.99 every 2 weeks for the calibrations. They tell me they are wiping my bill of $158.04 off. So then I have to ask why do I have that kind of bill and they go in to telling me about an overnight fee of $40 for my device, a state tax fee from FL $12.00 and a state for $9.38 tax fee from $TN, a TN county fee of $3.68, a setup fee of $32.91 (set up fee for who????) and a fee for insuring the box even though if you get in an accident with insurance you still pay over $200 for a replacement?!?!? So I am absolutely mind blown by the lengths this company will go to swindle people in fees. Which brings me to my car not being able to start because of the heat. I go out to my car, I blow over and over & it keeps reading cant calibrate sample. Mind you, i have to get my 2 kids in the car to go pick up my 3rd from school and it’s doing this to me. I call intoxalock freaking out & they tell me the device got too hot& try to get me to disconnect my battery! I tell then i know that causes a violation and im not doing that and they say theres nothing they can do. They tell me i can call a garage and get it towed at my own cost or next time wrap a towel around the device so it doesn’t over heat… What?!?! You guys make millions of dollars & you gave me faulty crap equipment that can overheat or freeze and cause me to not drive my car! Where is the money we all pay going because it certainly is not going to ensure after clients are doing everything they can to stay compliant that you do your due diligence to be sure they have a competent product! I am ready to get this removed and go with another company!

  Felt supported through a very rough process of getting my license back! There’s a lot of misinformation out there and they could do a better job at informing the customer about the equipment. And definitely you need to do your research on who they are referring you to because not all shops are reputable! But overall they were supportive if you had any issues!

  My experience with A Tow was positive, they inspected my car in a timely manner. They were polite and professional.
