  Incorrect billing and poor customer service; vehicle returned 4 days- received emailed invoice then received new invoice showing 5 days incorrectly stating that vehicle was returned one day later than actual! I was already home and at work!

  I will say this and I stand on my statements. National Car Rental had me feeling like something was wrong. The Rental pick up was super easy. I walked up and gave the nice young man my confirmation number and he walked me to my car. He allowed me to test for leg room and fit for my riders and gave me the key to tge vehicle that I selected. He said have a safe and fun trip. I was taken back... from standing in line and answering a bunch of questions at a counter. I drove to the check point to leave gave my ID, car key and Credit Card. Easy easy. Drop off was just as easy. Thank you National you have a customer for life...

  The experience couldn’t be easier. I had an extremely late arrival in Nashville. Feared the National staff would have left for the day, but instead found they still manned their booth at 2 AM. Super easy. Gave me a choice of numerous vehicles. On return the gentleman was extremely friendly and appreciative that I chose National Car Rental. I definitely would go with National again.

  Once I drove away the warning for oil change came up. It repeatedly showed up on the display and was annoying. The vehicle I rented was a Hyundai Tucson, which has a safety recall out for the auto brake feature engaging when it shouldn't and causing rear end collision. I had this feature engage while I was driving in town. Also, when I turned the vehicle in, NO ONE even spoke to me or asked me if I had any problems. I spoke to a manager at the kiosk in Nashville garage and was told they would talk to the employees. Nothing was written down or offered for my troubles. National Car Rental is getting a bit loose with their customer service if you ask me. I've been an Executive Elite member for quite a while and I must say it may be time to find another rental car company.

  As someone who rents from National Car Rental multiple times each month in airports across the country, I have come to expect a consistently good experience. However, my recent rental stood out for a different reason. This was the first time I have seen a manager personally stationed at the front of the Executive Area, actively greeting customers, assisting renters, and ensuring that everyone was having the best possible experience. The manager we met was Michael Bonds, and I was genuinely impressed by his professionalism, leadership, and customer-first approach. Michael took the time to engage with customers, answer questions, and make sure everything ran smoothly. His presence created a welcoming atmosphere and demonstrated a level of service that is increasingly rare to find. It is clear that he takes great pride in both his team and the National brand. National Car Rental is fortunate to have someone like Michael Bonds leading the customer experience. Employees can be trained to do a job, but genuine leadership and exceptional customer service come naturally to very few people. Michael is one of them.
