Our experience at City Auto with Richard and Anthony was nothing short of amazing. From start to finish, they provided exceptional customer service, answered every question we had, and made us feel truly heard and taken care of throughout the entire process.
Purchasing a vehicle can be stressful, but they made it a smooth, easy, and enjoyable experience. Their honesty, professionalism, and genuine care for their customers gave us complete confidence every step of the way.
We highly recommend City Auto to anyone looking for their next vehicle. If you’re looking for a dealership that values its customers and makes the car-buying process stress-free, Richard and Anthony are the people to see. Thank you both for making this such a wonderful experience for my fiancé and I!

We just purchased a Nissan Frontier King Cab at this dealership the day before 4 July. Had been looking online for this particular vehicle because we needed a smaller work truck. Inquired about it and salesman Calvin Davis immediately reached out. He was great about staying in touch and asking about our needs. They brought the vehicle in from a sister dealership for the purchase. I absolutely recommend Calvin when you are ready to buy as he is very knowledgeable.

PLEASE VIEW MY FACEBOOK FOR FULL STORY (Allison Perkins) I purchased a Ford Edge from City Auto in September 2025, and it has been the worst vehicle-buying experience my family has ever had.
Less than two months after purchasing the vehicle, the transmission failed. Although City Auto agreed to replace it, I still had to pay $4,000. What followed was months of frustration. My vehicle was misplaced during transport, City Auto had no idea where it was, and my family had to track it down ourselves. After the transmission was replaced, it failed again within a week.
Over the next several months, I dealt with repeated transmission problems, poor communication, weeks without my vehicle, lost keys, missed deadlines, and multiple trips back to their service department. At one point, I was stranded alone in Georgia after the transmission failed again. City Auto initially refused to tow it, and my family had to drive hours to rescue me and transport the vehicle before they would help.
Later, the vehicle overheated, and another mechanic told us it appeared someone had been adding water to the cooling system instead of properly fixing the problem.
Throughout this entire experience, I felt ignored, misled, and taken advantage of. My family spent countless hours making phone calls, tracking down my vehicle, arranging transportation, and paying thousands of dollars for repairs that repeatedly failed.
To make matters worse, two of my coworkers also shared similar experiences after purchasing vehicles from City Auto, including major transmission issues shortly after purchase.
I cannot recommend City Auto of Murfreesboro. Based on my experience, they seem far more focused on making the sale than standing behind the vehicles they sell or taking care of their customers afterward. I sincerely regret buying from here. If it let me give 0 stars I WOULD!

I will give two stars for how friendly and nice everyone was HOWEVER I strongly recommend you do NOT buy any used inventory from here. I bought a used vehicle that needed a door panel and the gas gauge wasn't working. I was told within the week it would be delivered to me. They absolutely will not keep you up to date on parts and when they receive them, and after hounding them for 3 weeks nonstop after being lied to about the whereabouts of parts and them not having even been ordered on top of a wasted 2 hour trip for service when they hadn't even thought to get the serial number for the correct part, they finally put them in. The gauge cluster was thought to be fixed within the first week and then they didn't even check that it was after "fixing" the issue the first time. The paint touchups were terribly done, you can clearly see where they did and the paint had ran. The clear coating is also extremely fragile and poorly done, already failing and coming up after a normal soap and water wash. They also did not bother to detail the car fully inside nor out, with many scratches that needed to be fixed and buffed out on the exterior. I believe that all things considered, I overpaid for a car that this dealership clearly did not take pride in fully fixing up. Pre-owned or not, more care could have been taken and more work could have been done to prep the car to leave the lot.
Original Review was positive in relation to the purchase experience. See below for update..

All was good during test drive. City Auto has a specific route you go on. Little bit of city and highway combined, takes about 10 minutes or so. During that drive, max speed limit is 55-60.
During my drive home (Knoxville) the road speed limits bump up to 70. Around 65-70mph the van had a bit of a shake at the front end. I had asked about new tires before purchasing, but the dealer stated they wont replace tires unless the tread is under a specific threshold - I don't recall the measurement. The worst part, is around that same speed I noticed a humming / droning noise. I did not think too much of it as I am not used to driving a big tall van. I get home and run over to Firestone. I explained what my experience driving home and showed them the service record that City Auto provided, which included resurfacing the rotors and new pads. Unfortunately, the rotors were cut too much, so much that they were out of spec, ruined the pads, tires were cupped, and caused damage to the wheel speed sensors. $2300 later... I was back on the road.... for a moment. I got home, removed the shelving and the bulkhead partition thing. Took it for a test drive, no more shake due to Firestone's work. But the humming / drone sound is significant. Unbearable at highway speeds. I suppose the partition wall blocked most of it during the test drive. I spoke with the Ford dealer today and now have to take the van in for diagnosis. That alone is another $230 charge from Ford. I have left a voicemail for the City Auto service department (Was told by Tanner to speak with either Spencer or Dareald). Pending a call back.
Hoping this dealer will step up and help out. The initial work at Firestone was only due to the service performed by City Auto. The van came with a 1k mil / 30 day drive train warranty. Not sure what is causing the loud noise, but hoping they will step up.
I will update as I learn more from Ford and what City Auto's response is.

Other work needed was covered on warranty per Derrick / Tariana. This was confirmed in email directly to the Ford dealer. The van is being held by the Ford dealer. It as been ready for 2 weeks. City Auto has sent the incorrect tax exempt forms 2 times now and still has not paid, so I cant pick up the vehicle.
I cannot you can spend 30k with a business and they give you zero urgency.
