  After having a very bad experience at another camping world, I must say this location was a much better experience. Our salesperson Alexa was exceptional on getting the deal done and when I needed help after picking up the camper with something missing, she was great on getting a replacement sent to me. Everyone at the location i dealt with was very helpful.

  We recently purchased our travel trailer from Camping World of Murfreesboro. We were out of town buyers and handled essentially all of the shopping and negotiating remotely. John was very responsive throughout the process and made the negotiation itself pretty easy. There wasn't a ton of unnecessary back-and-forth, and we were ultimately able to get to the out the door price we were comfortable with. There were a couple of things I think buyers should be aware of, though. The biggest was the "Let's Go Camping" package. During negotiations, I asked for the package to be removed, but it continued to be included. John had talked about the package including things like wheel chocks, hoses, and other items you would need to get started camping. What we actually received was the "Basic" package, which essentially included nothing but some propane and a battery. I also couldn't find anything on Camping World's website that clearly explained the different Let's Go Camping packages or what was included in each one. In the end, they lowered the price of the camper enough to get us to the out the door price we had agreed on, so at the time I wasn't concerned about whether the package stayed on the paperwork. In hindsight, though, I think the package was a total waste, and I wish there had been more transparency about exactly what we were getting. There were also several additional fees included along with the taxes and registration that added roughly another $400. Everything was explained when we asked about it, but I would recommend that buyers pay close attention to the full breakdown of taxes and fees rather than just focusing on the advertised or negotiated price. Ian handled our walkthrough when we picked up the camper and was extremely thorough, honestly, almost too thorough for us since we're experienced campers. That's certainly not a bad thing, and for a first time RV owner I could see his walkthrough being incredibly helpful. He took the time to go through everything and genuinely felt like he was advocating for us rather than just rushing us out the door. Unfortunately, the experience changed pretty noticeably once the paperwork was signed. After the walkthrough and purchase were complete, we were essentially left on our own. No one offered to help with hooking up the camper or even checked on us while we were getting everything set up and preparing it for transport back home. As experienced campers, we were capable of handling it ourselves, but that really isn't the point. After traveling from out of town to make a significant purchase, it was disappointing to feel like the customer service ended as soon as the sale was finalized. Even someone simply checking in to make sure we were hooked up correctly and ready to safely get on the road would have gone a long way. Hell, even a simple goodbye, thanks for the business, whatever, would've been nice but there was just nothing. Overall, we're happy with the camper and the deal we made. John was responsive and easy to work with throughout the sales process, and Ian did a great job with the walkthrough. However, Camping World could definitely improve the transparency around the Let's Go Camping packages and additional fees, as well as the customer experience after the paperwork is signed. The buying process was generally good, but the final handoff left us disappointed and kept the overall experience from being as positive as it could have been. Since there isn't a 3.5 star, I'll round up because they do deserve that.

  My experience started out great when I first started shopping here. Unfortunately, that declined when I was actually ready to buy and honestly it seemed like they were unmotivated. Very poor communication and follow-up. If someone is investing 300k+ they want to see some professionalism.

  I really wanted to give Camping World another chance despite previous poor experiences. Our salesperson was friendly and not pushy, but didnt know the product he was selling. He misrepresented several important features of the camper. and unfortunately the rest of the experience was VERY DISAPPOINTING. What really stood out was the constant push for extra fees. They wanted to CHARGE us for the delivery walk-through that explains how to operate the camper, and they also wanted to CHARGE to have it cleaned and prepared for delivery. In my opinion, those are basic parts of good customer service and should be included with the purchase. Even after declining the EXTRA FEES, we were told the camper would at least be washed before delivery, but it was still very dirty when we picked it up. We also reported a warranty issue with a crooked decal on the back of the camper, and more than two weeks later, no one has contacted us with an update. One piece of advice: shop your financing. We were initially quoted a high interest rate but after shopping around, Camping World lowered the rate significantly. Once again trying to gouge with extra charges. Overall, the lack of follow-up, poor delivery preparation, and constant push for extra charges left us beyond disappointed. If you have other options, I would recommend shopping elsewhere. At the very least, pay close attention to every fee and financing term before signing.
