- IWI dream of Jeannie on WWSep 3, 20265.0We went in to the east end advance and were greeted by Omar as soon as we walked in. We were looking for a part for our boat and he made sure we got what we were looking for. I had been to several other stores and no one could seem to help. We will definitely be visiting this location again very nice and knowledgeable people work here.

Then I asked if they had any regular coin gauges and he said no, they just sold out this morning so I told him that’s funny because a buddy of mine just sent me a picture of a stack of them on their counter about 30 minutes ago. Then, he asked for the part number on the picture.. there’s about 6 different sets of numbers on the picture so I read him one of them and then I asked “does it start with a number or a letter” because at this point he was acting real slow. Then he said “it could be either.” Then he said to bring the picture by there and I replied “if you all don’t have any why in the world would I go out of my way to come on by there?!” Crazy experience.

My wife and I were having car troubles on a particularly hot day on June 20th. We had our baby on this particular day so this added to our stress over potentially breaking down (we are out of towners from Pikeville KY) Camden was very helpful in finding the parts and tools we needed, giving us all the information he could relating to our problem, and was very friendly all the while assisting other customers with a similar friendly and helpful approach. We left very happy customers and if we’re ever in need in the area we will 100% be back to this store! 5 stars for this store and for Camden, a 5 star man!

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
