I canceled my appointment due to the lack of professionalism and poor communication on Safelite’s part. I had already waited an entire week for my appointment and paid nearly $1,000 in advance. Earlier in the day, the technician, Chris, called and provided me with incorrect information regarding my appointment. He then showed up unexpectedly, and within roughly 15 minutes, my appointment was canceled because of the poor communication on their end. When I contacted Safelite about the situation, the manager, Crystal, told me that Chris should have texted me—as if that somehow made the situation more professional or resolved the issue. To make matters worse, I was told the next available appointment wouldn’t be for another entire week. It’s extremely inconvenient and frustrating to pay nearly $1,000 upfront, wait a week for service, and then have the appointment canceled almost immediately because of communication issues that were entirely on their end. I ultimately decided to cancel altogether and take my business elsewhere. The entire experience was unnecessarily inconvenient and, in my opinion, handled very unprofessionally.

Michael, the technician who replaced my windshield, was EXCELLENT! He made up for what the front desk was lacking. HE gets my 5 star rating!

I scheduled an appointment for 12 days in advance. They sent me a confirmation text message the day before the appointment, and I did confirm the appointment. The day they were supposed to come out to replace my windshield they gave me a five-hour window. I cleared my schedule and waited for them to come. The technician called me, but I didn't hear my phone ring but called him back within 30 minutes. I also sent a text to him but no response. All this happened in my appointment window time. So, after sitting at home waiting for five hours, they never showed up. I called them this morning to see why. I was told that even after scheduling 12 days in advance, confirming my appointment through text, clearing my schedule for the five-hour window that when the tech calls, they only have to come if you return their call in 15 minutes. This is beyond horrible customer service. Please do not waste your time with Safelite. They don't mind wasting your time.

If I could rank only your hard-working mechanic, Safelite would get five stars. What pulled you down - hard - was the front office. I sat for nearly six hours, waiting for me car. I had an 11:00 appointment. I didn't get to leave until 5:00 that evening. Every time I asked one of the women at the front desk for a status report, the answer was "your car is next." It turns out (thanks to the mechanic who shared this information with me) there was only one mechanic available that day. Why the women at the front desk couldn't be more transparent and share that with me is a mystery. Why they didn't offer to reschedule me is a bigger mystery yet. Instead, there I sat. I'm darned glad I didn't have a job to get to or kids waiting for me at home. This appalling lack of service has turned me off Safelite forever. There was no excuse.
