  I love the convenience of having the ability to select vehicle that I desire to drive. The service was fast and efficient. National will be my primary when I need a rental.

  I picked up my rental from National at the Memphis airport on Wednesday, August 19, around **9:38 a.m.** Unfortunately, there were few cars available, and it took three vehicles before I found one I could use. The first, a Hyundai Kona, wouldn’t connect to my phone through CarPlay. The second, a Toyota 4Runner, was set entirely in Spanish. I changed it back to English but still couldn’t get my phone to pair. Finally, I found a Mazda CX-90 that worked, and by then I needed to get on the road. The Mazda looked freshly washed from the outside, but once I opened the doors, it was a different story. The door jambs, lower panels, hatch area and interior edges were covered in dirt and dust. It was dirty enough that when the back of my black pants brushed against the vehicle getting out, the dirt transferred onto my clothes. After trying three vehicles, I didn’t have additional time to keep switching cars. National should be doing a better final inspection before putting vehicles on the lot. A freshly washed exterior doesn’t mean the vehicle is clean. I do want to recognize **Clayton**, who assisted me when I returned the car on Friday, August 21. He saw the condition himself, listened to my concerns, documented the issue and requested an amenity for me. He handled the situation professionally and was the bright spot in an otherwise disappointing rental experience. I’ve had much better experiences with National, so hopefully this was an exception.

  Executive elite here, had a guaranteed reservation, arrive and there are no cars and a line of people ten deep waiting on cars to return? An executive elite is supposed to have a guaranteed car. Extremely disappointing.

  It was my first time renting with National and I was pleasantly surprised with streamlined service. I was running a little late for my flight and Curtis at the dropoff was extremely considerate and was able to arrange a car ride to the terminal for me and another traveler. I can say its my favorite car rental company now.

  Staff need to be educated on what is a Premium SUV vs a Full Size SUV. I arrived 30min prior to my pickup time. Showed Staff my reservation, was told to go down the executive isle to pick a vehicle. The Executive Isle does not have any Premium SUV. Staff told me to wait. I waited for 30min and they brought me a Full Size SUV. I had to tell them again, I reserved a Premium SUV which have a longer cargo space than a Full Size SUV. There is a difference. I had to wait another 30min for them to find me a Premium SUV. In the end, I received my reserved Premium SUV. However, I dont see the point in pre-booked your reservation when they don't reserve you the vehicle class that you paid for. I received my vehicle and left the lot at 9:00am. It took a whole 1.5hrs to resolve for an 8:00am reservation. Can't stress enough on timely reservation and education on differences of vehicle classes.
