  I visited my hometown of Memphis on short notice this past week for a family funeral and needed a car to get around. After placing my reservation online at the Midtown Memphis Enterprise location, someone from that team called to let me know that they received my reservation and to inform me of the deposit amount. I really appreciated the phone call and the team’s courtesy throughout my rental experience. Andrew was the in-person team member who helped me upon pick-up and drop-off. He was thorough, easy to work with, and very kind. Big thumbs up to the Midtown Memphis team! I will definitely use this store again during my next visit to Memphis.

  I rented a car, but none were available when I showed up. The staff refused to help me. I called customer service twice, I was promised a car from a different location would pick me up. The call got disconnected. The staff couldn’t confirm that any car was available at the other location. I had to beg them to help me. Literally, beg the manager to help me find a car. She finally started calling other locations. The 2nd Poplar location confirmed they had a car, but that I would have to come to them across town. I asked her if she could promise the car would be there when I got there. She said yes. It’s on my reservation. I said how is that possible. She never took my name or reservation number, just told me there were no cars available when I got there. My wife was broken down on the side of the road in a bad neighborhood so there was some urgency. I asked for the address of the other location. I took an Uber. When I got there the employee said it was the wrong location. I should have gone to the other Poplar location. That means the manager at the Mt Moriah location was deliberately screwing with me. The employee told me he would get me a car after all, even though the Mt Moriah manager supposedly called them and they had no cars available just 30 minutes earlier. Then I got charged $70 more than my original quote and had to pay $30 for an Uber. I told all of this to a CS rep on Monday and was told I would receive a call. Guess what no call from management. What a nightmare.

  I went to pick up my rental at 4p... Dude (Andrew at the original pick up location) had me standing there an hour to then say that he had put make reservations months in advance and he didn't have a car to put me in. I told him he could've called me earlier in the day to say that. Where I had time to find something else. All the other rental places closed at five. He then told me to go to three other locations, where they didn't have nothing so I went back to him (Andrew) ... My son has cancer and was getting life flighted to Vanderbilt in Nashville and I had to get there by 7a. He tells me to call him in the morning or go to the airport and they'll honor my reservation, I asked could he call them so I wouldn't make a blank trip and he said he had no ones number their and was unable to contact anyone at the airport. I get to the airport and as soon as I say andrew name they immediately turned me down, the manager Bamo comes and I tell him the situation and he said I had to have a flight reservation to rent a vehicle. Then Jason (his boss) comes I repeat myself, there's nothing he can do. He tells me to go try another rental chain to give my business too. That was unexpected. He then gives me the area manager contact information and tell me to call him cause there's nothing they could do. Called the area manager he tells me to go to the Brooks location and being that it was now afterhours about 715p, there employees would wait for me to get there. The customer service at the Brooks location was 10/10. However, the vehicle that was given to me had been rented from fedex for the last few months and they didn't have time to get it detailed, so the seats throughout the vehicle had like oil stains all over them, the smell was nasty (I bought air fresheners), half a tank of gas, and a squill sound going on with the front left tire. Overall, I made it to my destination and rented the car at 4p. All and all, it took four hours to receive a vehicle from Enterprise, with them not honoring my reservation, not giving appropriate time for another rental, the customer service, wasted my gas driving around to four DIFFERENT locations, and the nature of the vehicle given to me was unexceptional!!!!!!
