  I picked up my rental at the Lakeland location on June 17th and returned it on June 19th. I called for two weeks to have someone send me a receipt. Nobody would ever anser. Finally this week I got charged $337. I called and finally someone answered. They said the wrong location picked it up from the collision center and never closed it out until yesterday (not my problem). I am still waiting on a resolution to my issue.

  My experience today was horrible! I reserved a minivan a week in advance. Today, when I arrived to pick it up, I was told they did not have the vehicle available. I had already planned and paid for my trip, and they didn’t have any vehicle that could accommodate 6 people. I called customer service, and they sent me to Bartlett, Millington, and Covington, TN, claiming that those locations had one available. When I arrived, none of them had the vehicle, and no one had called to confirm availability. They simply sent me from place to place, wasting my time. They did not provide any alternatives or solutions—just told me to wait for a call from customer service, which never came. They nearly ruined my trip and caused me an entire day of stress while I was trying to handle this situation with a child. In the end, I had to rent a vehicle from Hertz

  I booked this location by accident. And the same poor service exist. I made my reservation months ago and when I show up there is a line of people also with reservations waiting on a car. They had one employee present. She checked me in but could not confirm if I would even get a car today. This is a standard and repeat practice for this location.

  If I can save someone from experiencing consternation, then I will. I honestly didn’t read the reviews before renting here (which is atypical for me) because it was a work-related rental & convenient to my location. BUT I wish I would have. I rent cars often, usually at airports. But I know how it goes, at your stand alone locations too. The problem started when I attempted to call for a ride to the location. I was on hold, overall for approximately 25 mins. I decided to Uber to pick up my car - no big deal. They were relatively steady with customers, after a holiday so I get it. Two folks working the counter. The first car they provided the keys for smelled like smoke. I rejected that and asked for a different car (I should say they tried to offer it to someone else after me and they also said the same). They pulled around the second car. It didn’t smell like smoke. No frills, but no problem. I rolled off the parking lot and noticed the tire indicator was on. Turned back around to tell them this. The car runner (maintenance? person - not sure of their title) came out to take a look at the car, mentioning that “I told them it was the sensor.” Well, they didn’t tell me that. So, I’m standing over his shoulder (literally) and observed tire pressures at all different intervals - 30, 33, 36. Ok, so you all were just gonna let me drive off like that ?!? So, he says, I’ll pull around and put air in the tires to even them out. When the car comes back out, the sensor is no longer on. Which means, it wasn’t the sensor. So, just air pressure issues? No one had any answers. So, I took the car (against my judgment). Drove okay for 3.5 hours. Parked at a hotel, where it stayed for 3 days, unmoved. On day 3 my tire was flat. While it IS possible something could have occurred while driving, I doubt it. They’re not checking the cars. They’re just turning them around. And when you bring things to their attention, as I did on the front end, they are sighing as if I am the problem. It’s not random that I don’t want to smell like smoke or get in the middle of nowhere (which is what happened anyway) with tire problems. Unconcerned. Inefficient. I dropped my car off early, via the drop box on a Saturday. They’re open for 4 hours. They closed and I’d yet to still receive my receipt. I had to call big Enterprise (customer service) to move the needle. Never mind my experience trying to deal with roadside assistance and get another rental/tire. That’s a situation I won’t address here. It was equally frustrating. What I will say is that I feel this could have potentially been avoided. No customer service on the local level. I’ll be reconsidering Enterprise rentals, generally. Save yourself. Rent with Hertz or another company down the road. You’ll be safer for it.
