This is specifically about their audio unit services. I bought an aftermarket touch screen head unit and installed it in my car. It was a bit complicated for setup and couldn’t figure out how to get the steering wheel controls to work. I explained my situation in detail when I made my appointment. When I showed up for the appointment, the tech went to my car for around 5 minutes before coming back and saying that because he didn’t install it and that it was “tablet style” he had no idea what to do (even though I had the box with instructions and every necessary part). He didn’t even attempt to help me by even reading the instructions. I was even open to possibly upgrading to a unit they offered instead. But every option they had was a tiny screen, with technology that is about 10 years out of date. I am very disappointed in the complete lack of effort to help, or to even try to upsell a willing customer.

They installed a 3 channel dashcam and said it would take 2 hours. They got it done in 1 hour and it turns out that I didn't buy the hardware kit to go with the dashcam. They told me to order it and they'll install it for free. Good place, good vibes, great service all around.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you are serious about car audio, custom electronics, sound quality, or competition-level installs, there is one place that stands above the rest east of the Mississippi — The Sound Factory. Mike and Chris Myers have built far more than a retail shop — they have built a nationwide reputation based on knowledge, professionalism, honesty, craftsmanship, and results. Car audio enthusiasts travel from all over the United States because they know they are getting some of the best installation work, tuning, system design, and customer support in the industry. What truly separates The Sound Factory from everyone else is how every customer is treated. Whether you walk in with a basic budget system or a full competition-level build, you receive the same respect, attention, and professionalism. They genuinely care about getting customers the absolute best bang for their buck without pushing unnecessary products or shortcuts. Their team of professionals is outstanding, knowledgeable, and passionate about the industry. Service after the sale is exceptional, which is becoming rare these days. They stand behind their work and support their customers long after installation day. The Sound Factory is also one of the strongest supporters of car audio competition in the country. As nationwide judges, event organizers, event promoters, and builders of some of the most award-winning vehicles in the U.S., they continue to help grow and protect the car audio community. If you want it done RIGHT the first time, this is where you go. Give them a call — you will understand why their reputation is legendary. They designed, built, and tuned two of my BMW's - one of which is a World Champion.

I’ve used this company multiple times over the years for window tint and a remote start installation on several vehicles, and I want to be fair—the quality of their work is excellent. Every job they’ve done for me has turned out great, which is the only reason I kept coming back. Unfortunately, their customer service and communication are some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. They rarely answer the phone, voicemails go unanswered, and getting any kind of follow-up is extremely frustrating. Most recently, I reached out via email on Monday to get a quote for a new radio installation. I received a response the next day asking for my phone number and was told I’d get a quote shortly after providing it. It’s now been four days—still no quote. I even called again and finally got someone on my fifth attempt, who assured me they would send it over, but I’m still waiting. I understand that businesses get busy, but basic communication shouldn’t fall through the cracks like this. It’s disappointing because the work itself is solid, but the lack of responsiveness has pushed me to take my business elsewhere. If they could improve their communication and customer service, this would easily be a 5-star company. As it stands, I can’t recommend them.

I recently purchased an entire system online (not at Sound Factory) and installed it myself. I was having higher volume issues (lack thereof) and after researching the problem, I decided to throw my hands up and visit the professionals to see if they agree with my diagnosis, and sell me the part I believed I needed (an active LOC is what I believed I needed). The guys at Sound Factory came out to my car, listened, cracked out the multimeter, and agreed my voltage to my amplifiers were too low. However, the noted the passive LOC I was using seemed to be reducing my voltage. I came back after tearing everything apart to get voltage before the LOC and low and behold, I had plenty of voltage proving my passive LOC was a problem. Now rather than try to sell me anything at all after all of that, they recommended I just run a low level line out to RCA connector which I did, and voila! Problem solved without spending a dime. It is not often you get a business that is willing to go out of their way to help someone and be genuine, and not try to sell a thing at all. I honestly wished at this point I had just purchased everything from them in the first place, they have some fantastic employees who will do what is right. I will definitely going back for future upgrades!
