Reading reviews about someplace before actually doing business with them is always dangerous. You end up with preconceived notions going in. I had heard reviews about the service department at Mercedes-Benz of Kingsport and most were not good … In fact, I was told I’d be better off to drive twice as far to go to Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville instead. Well, in a pinch before an upcoming trip I used the service department at Mercedes-Benz of Kingsport because they were closer and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Kurt was absolutely fantastic. I even came in expecting I was gonna need repairs on my brakes and he said honestly, it wasn’t necessary yet. AND I HAD TOLD HIM UPFRONT THAT I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO NEED THEM! AND HE DIDN’T LIE TO ME AND SAY I DID! And replacing the battery was cheaper than a private German car repair shop, which actually surprised me! So pleased with everything that went down today! Great job guys!

My salesperson, Nick, did a great job explaining everything about the GLE 350
And helping me decide about colors, packages, and more. MB of Kingsport did not use any high pressure sales techniques. Pricing was very transparent and the employees were all warm and friendly.

Service department has improved 100 percent since my last visit 2 years ago. This time they were very knowledgeable and serviced my vehicle expediently. Everyone is very pleasant and communicated very well.

Excellent experience with the purchase of my C300 from this dealership. I've purchased several cars, both Mercedes and BMWs, from this location. Being out of the area for the past 12+ years I decided to visit after a website preview of available vehicles. It was a pleasant experience from the beginning of my site search, when a Live person (not those harassing Bots and AI pop ups now present on most car sites resulting in complete annoyance) was online for me to Chat with as early as 7am.
I was greeted at the door upon arrival by Zach, the Finance Manager. Zach created a great first impression and immediately introduced me to Tim to assist in the car testing drive phase.
Tim definitely knew his product(s) as I test drove both BMW and Mercedes. I had been looking for about a month and this dealership is heads above others as it relates to professionalism, (the dealership manager also greeted me at arrival and continued to check in during my purchase), ease of trade, and payment/ financing details.
Zach made sure to thoroughly explain all warranty options and I had several questions, which he also made sure he covered in detail to my satisfaction.
I loved the fact that the dealership price did not have all the multitude of "tack on" pricing: dealer fee, destination fee, doc fee and on and on that I saw at every other dealer. The price was clearly stated and you started your communication with the sales /finance team from this vantage. Within 15 -20 minutes Tim had secured a reasonable, agreed upon trade deal for me and all without hours of torturous "dog and pony" shows at other dealers.
Keep your sanity, save money, and choose to deal with this great team at Rick Hill Mercedes! I have been test driving and trying to trade with at least 10 other dealerships between Bristol, Johnson City, and Abingdon. Everything from Crown Signa to Volvo, and Acura. You simply can not find a more professional experience anywhere else in the Tri Cities!
