Great service! I always feel so comfortable coming here, they do a great job. I live in kingsport and will drive to the JC location because the staff is so friendly.

I was passing through Johnson City on a road trip when a light came on that my oil pressure was low. Was a mile from this Valvoline so went straight there to see if getting an oil change would fix it. The staff themselves were incredibly friendly. However half way home (was around 2 hours out) my oil pressure light came back on. By the next day I walked out to all my brand new oil on the ground. I thought it was strange because I did not have an oil leak before I had gone. I went to my local valvoline which determined the Johnson City location used the wrong oil filter. Extremely lucky my car ended up being okay and I was able to make it home. They had one singular job and that was to change my oil correctly. They spent more time pushing me to purchase other fluid changes than the oil change itself and they couldn’t even put the right filter on causing all the oil to come back out. I’ve always loved valvoline but this location needs a retrain because this could have seriously damaged my vehicle.

This is usually a great location, and we're in and out in under 30 minutes...no matter what services we get. Today, it was a much different story. Two cars ahead of us in both lines, one in each bay and one in waiting. The employee who came out to check us in was bossy and said she'd get us in as soon as she could (whatever that means). Insisted that we pull up behind the car in front of us within 2 feet of his bumper (did not make the vehicle beside us pull forward while checking him in). Sat in line for at least 20 minutes with no movement in either line. Asked an employee who finally walked by how much longer. He said he had no idea, but it would be at least 30 minutes more. We left at that point. Not sure what happened on this day, but I was definitely disappointed.
