I pulled in for an oil change at 1:45 pm. I had a doctors appointment at 3 nearby (15 minutes away) and there were no other cars in the bay. I figured maybe 10 to 15 minutes and I’d still have an hour to get to my appointment. The change started as normal. They sold me on an air filter. Then I just sat there. After 10-15 minutes of nobody working on my car, I started looking around. Finally I made eye contact with a lady and she came over. She asked if anyone had told me what was going on with my car, which they had not. She told me that they didn’t have my oil filter and were sending somebody to go get one. Never an apology. With my oil drained and filter off, I had no choice but to wait. At 2:30, still no word. I called and rescheduled my appointment with a CARDIOLOGIST because of this. Within a couple of minutes they had the filter on and I was ready to leave. She then told me it was going to be $96. lol. So laughed and no it won’t. She said the best she could do was 20% off the air filter which saved $6.50. I had a half off coupon so she put that on there (which she would have done anyway). I asked for her name which she gave me and the store managers name. I asked for a number to call and she told me she didn’t know the number. I questioned that, and she told me that if I wanted the number I could look it up on my phone. To which I said, then she should look it up and give it to me so I had the right number. She wouldn’t help me in anyway whatsoever. She told me she was over 20-something stores and she didn’t know all the numbers. Disgusted, I paid and left. Now I have to wait 2 1/2 weeks to see the cardiologist. Boo! Valvoline
This place promotes sitting in the car as a benefit. It’s not because they make you turn off your car and do their inspection testing lights, blinkers, brakes, etc in a hot car without AC. Next, they have no mechanics underneath so they suck the oil out the top instead or drain below. This is like doing it at home and not all the oil residue gets drained. Next, the prices quoted is for 5 quarts. Almost any SUV will be charged more for “extra oil” on the invoice. It was not a good experience whatsoever and no reason to come back.

0 stars, would recommend having a blind monkey change your oil rather than this shop. But if you're into being accused of lying, perhaps this is your spot.
Overfilled by 35% causing oil to spray all over my engine bay, and drip in my garage. Without knowing the source of the oil leak, I took my under warranty vehicle to the dealership to repair and prevent further damage.
Well, since the dealership found and remedied the issue (way too much oil), Valvoline says they have no "proof" that this was caused by them. In logically working through the situation with the manager on duty, he concluded that either myself or the mechanic at the dealership were liars, his word. I must have taken my newly oil changed vehicle home and overfillled it myself, just for fun. Or, perhaps there was some sort of catastrophic issue that the dealership fixed within an hour, but instead of filing a warranty claim with the manufacturer, all they wanted was the diagnosis fee.
Needless to say, shop takes no accountability for their work. And the manager outright questions the integrity of others rather than internalizing the issue and making it right.
