- CSChris SmithAug 23, 20265.0I was heading out to visit family today, Sunday August 23 2026. I went to start my 2022 Nissan Frontier and it would not crank over. I used my jump pack to start my truck and then used a volt meter to check my alternator performance. 14.6v ideal voltage. I let my truck run a few moments and then turned it off. Same condition no crank. I once again used my jump pack and headed straight to Advance Auto in Gallatin, TN. I walked in and was greeted by two nice young men. I said, I need a battery for my 2022 Frontier. I already verified alternator is working. The man at the counter pulled up my options and turned the monitor so I could see them. I didn’t have to repeat make and model three times like I do at other places. lol. I was showed the recommended battery and I asked to see other price options. The other young man quickly chimed in and said, sir, your truck has many electronic and camera systems I highly recommend you get the “AGM” battery. He also said Nissans the did not have AGM batteries frequently had problems with their electronic systems. I knew immediately this young man was knowledgeable and looking out for me. I said, ok I’ll take the AGM battery. Can you help me install it it. He grabbed his tool cart and said I’m going to get started on installing the battery. I was like, WOW what customer service, I haven’t even paid yet. That young man kept me from making a silly mistake trying to save a few bucks. The battery was nearly $300. It came with a 4 year warranty. He installed the battery quickly had me start the vehicle and checked to ensure no engine lights were on. I thanked him and I left. I wish I had asked the gentlemen their names. Shout out to those men and that location. I have four vehicles and two teenagers that drive. I change the oil in my cars myself to save money. I typically buy oil and filters at Walmart or on Amazon to save a few bucks. Going forward I will purchase all my vehicle maintenance needs at this Advance location. They have earned 100% of my business going forward. The staff is knowledgeable , kind and helpful. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
