This is for corporate for all the years of scamming, hard-working individuals like myself into paying rip off prices for parts that I can get for a lot cheaper on websites like 1A Auto or rock auto or many other. Even Amazon and eBay have cheaper rates and honestly if you’re like me and you need to get coil packs and spark plugs, don’t go to Advance Auto. Order them online because you can get them for as low as $84-$160 depending on where you find them and what brand and material the metal is made out of but you go to somewhere like Advance Auto and you’ll be paying close to $500 if not more. Don’t get me wrong. I’ll still go to Advance Auto when I need something small but when it comes to car parts, I can’t trust them anymore and I don’t mean the employees I mean the company itself. They’re gonna have to keep up.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
