  Not sure why anybody would get a windshield replaced by anyone other than Safelite! They make the experience so simple, easy and comfortable. Sean completed my replacement (Luverne, Mn. - He was working out of Sioux Falls, SD) and I could t be more satisfied.

  I had my front windshield replaced through Safelite in May 2026, and this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had with a company. The technician arrived at 10 AM and stayed until 5 PM because he was unable to get the glass off of my Range Rover. During the process, he ended up hurting himself and getting a cut. He told me he was not able to call his manager to let them know he had been injured on the job. I have camera footage of this entire situation. He eventually left to get his cut patched up at a gas statio. He left the door of my vehicle open, and when he came back, I asked what had happened. He said he had to go clean up the cut and that he couldn’t let his manager know. He then ended up breaking the glass and said he was not able to put the windshield on. It was already 5 PM, and he ended up putting it on the opposite way. I also do want to add. I did try to call the shop multiple times to talk to a manager, but they had told me that they haven’t had a manager in weeks and they had connected me with a manager in Fargo that had said another technician would come and help and never did. I did let that manager know from that location that the technician was hurt and I do have that recorded as well and that he completely ignored that. I contacted Safelite, and they told me to bring the vehicle in. I ended up bringing it in on June 26 because the first time, they had not ordered the correct windshield and had to order another one. June 26 was when I finally had the windshield replaced. Unfortunately, that was not the end of the problems. When I got my Range Rover back, they had left my car completely dirty. I have a cream-colored interior, and there was glass left everywhere inside the vehicle. When I brought this up, they refused to clean it and told me they were not able to do so. On top of everything else, I also ended up overpaying with a check. I was told I would receive a check in the mail for the difference, which is a couple hundred dollars, and I still have not received it. Every single time I call to follow up, I am put on hold for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating from beginning to end. I have had to make multiple trips, deal with an incorrect windshield being ordered, deal with glass being left throughout my vehicle, and I am still waiting for money that I was told would be refunded to me. I expected much better service and communication from a company like Safelite. I was also reading the reviews on Safeway and with the owner just responding will do better next time. No you won’t.

  Had a really great experience with Safelite! The whole process was easy and convenient, and they took care of the chip in my windshield without any hassle. Everything was explained clearly, the service was professional, and I’m really happy with how the repair turned out. It’s always nice when dealing with car repairs is actually straightforward for once. Definitely recommend Safelite based on my experience!

  Save yourself the money and go somewhere else. After loosing our keys, the tech proceeds to blame my wife and doesn’t perform the work since we needed the keys to move the vehicle to allow access to the window. Spoke with the manager and she tells me that they will only either refund the money for the window they never replaced, or pay to replace the keys. So after having to overnight a set of keys because we are out of state, we are out about $400 and still had to have another company schedule to replace the window. Being from Ohio and Safelite being based out of Ohio we chose them because we used them several times in the past. I’ll spend more money from now on and have a professional come and replace it. Manager was a joke and clearly is incapable of doing her job.

  I waited 3 weeks for a defective windshield. On July 15th I called to schedule a windshield replacement. It was scheduled for July 22nd. 20 minutes before the end of my appointment window they called to reschedule as they weren’t going to make it. The new appointment was July 28th. The tech came and noticed there were manufacturing defects in the windshield. I wasn’t comfortable with them installing it as is, so I sent it back. We rescheduled for August 1. They brought out the same windshield. I’m disgusted and frustrated. The techs were great but management should not be sending out windshields with visible manufacturing defects. There needs to be quality control. Update 8/19- I still have not been contacted by Safelite dispute their reply to get this sorted on 8/10.
