  Alamo has great cars at reasonable rates. Rented from them the last few times. Made my reservation. Put up and drop off were easy breezy! Couldn’t ask for more. The staff were pretty nice too!! 😊

  Update: I have already contacted Alamo Customer Care multiple times. I have called repeatedly, spoken with representatives, explained that this is an active rental that I am currently trying to return, and I have repeatedly been told that customer service cannot resolve the issue. I have also tried contacting the Columbia Metropolitan Airport location numerous times without getting anyone who can actually help. Referring me back to the same website and customer care number that I have already spent hours dealing with does not resolve anything. I am currently in Bismarck, North Dakota, with an Alamo vehicle that I am actively trying to return. Enterprise here will not accept it without authorization from Alamo, the Columbia location is not responding, and customer care has already told me they cannot provide a solution. I am not asking for another generic customer service link. I am asking for someone from Alamo management with actual authority to contact me and take ownership of this active rental. I also still have not been provided with the executed rental agreement for the Honda Accord that was substituted and physically handed to us at the Columbia location. No updated paperwork was handed to us at pickup and no updated agreement for that vehicle was emailed to us. Please escalate this to the station manager, area manager, regional manager, or another person with operational authority who can tell me where this vehicle can actually be returned and provide that instruction in writing. We had a confirmed reservation for a Hyundai Kona or similar. When we arrived at the Alamo location, they did not have the vehicle available. We waited approximately 30 minutes and were eventually given a Honda Accord instead. We were handed the Honda and left the location, but we were not given any paperwork for the substituted vehicle. We did not receive an updated rental agreement, receipt, or email confirmation showing the Honda Accord or clearly documenting the final terms associated with the vehicle we were actually given. Thankfully, before leaving, I recorded a video of the Honda while it was still inside the Alamo parking area so I would have documentation of the vehicle and its condition at the time it was provided to us. We are now in Bismarck, North Dakota, and have spent an unbelievable amount of time trying to figure out how to properly return this vehicle. There is no Alamo location at Bismarck Airport. Enterprise is there, but they have told us they cannot accept the Alamo vehicle without authorization. Alamo customer service is now telling us the car has to be returned all the way to Columbia, South Carolina. That would mean approximately a 25 hour drive back to South Carolina. I have called repeatedly trying to resolve this. I have spoken with customer service multiple times and have made dozens of attempts to reach someone who can actually take responsibility for the situation. So far, nobody has been able or willing to provide a reasonable solution. I have repeatedly asked for the actual rental agreement generated when this Columbia location handed us the Honda Accord. I want to know what return location was entered into Alamo’s system and what terms were associated with the actual vehicle they gave us. We still have not been provided that documentation. To be clear, I am not refusing to return the vehicle. I am actively trying to return it properly and have spent hours trying to get Alamo to tell me how to do that. I simply cannot understand how the solution to an internal rental or documentation problem is to require the customer to drive approximately 25 hours across the country. I have preserved the original reservation, the video taken at the Alamo lot when the Honda was provided, the vehicle information, and my extensive call history. I am posting this review because after numerous attempts to resolve this privately, I still cannot get someone with authority to take ownership of the situation. I will gladly update this review if Alamo management steps in and resolves this reasonably.

  If i could give negative stars I would. Our flight was included in the reservation and then AA delayed is screened hours until after midnight (12:15) and we called before leasing and the agent Brooks aired is it is their policy to wait for those that have rentals to arrive. Well we're arrived finally and no one was there. We had an hour drive to the usaf base and no car. We cashed for times and got hung up on three of the four times until Denise Donal took the time to allegedly take notes. Nothing to be done, even though hertz was available we missed out because they had us on hold so long. Fast forward to the end of night at 1 am, they had four employees just hanging out in the back and they came out and refused to help. We had to uber to shaw afb which is an hours away after hours of delayed from dfw. If ur policy is to wait for the delayed flights, and ur employees are getting paid extra time abs leave at 1, they should say least help. Shame on you. Shane on you for doing this to military vets and families who are tired from the long days. We are disgusted and at treatment. Whoever is in charge at the CAE airport location should be fired.

  Great company. I flew into Columbia South Carolina and needed a car. I didn't have one reserved but they got me a car right away. Very friendly and I received a great deal when I also bundled with a room.Will not use any other company but Alamo from here on out.
