  I went to Camping World in Spartanburg to browse around for a smaller camper and had the BEST experience EVER ! Chris Howard took the time on one of the hottest days of the year to show me around, going over everything that I had questions about, answering them with knowledge and professionalism. I would strongly recommend him if you’re shopping for a camper !!! Go check him out , you won’t be disappointed!! 5 star treatment all the way around !!!

  What a joke. I had a Budget of a certain amount of money and what was shown to me was a camper that had a lot of water damage The wall on the outside of the camper was separating from the laminated part of the the camper. It was a complete and utter waste of my time to even show up because if that’s the only thing y’all can offer you don’t need my business.

  Chris Howard was absolutely awful. Took us to look at one camper and then brought us back even though we asked him to show us similar he said “we don’t have anything similar” but they easily did looking at the website. Before we left we asked him to take us to look at a Salem (we have 2 toddlers so riding the golf cart was easier) he said “you can walk out there and look everything is unlocked” . He wouldn’t even entertain the idea of looking at more campers. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone . He was all around rude . Go to optimum RV if you want a better experience

  They have beautiful trailers and RVs. But make sure you're dressed to impress, and don't drive up in a used beater. Any one that knows my wife and i's stories knows that we were driving cadillacs and mercedes, less than a year ago, but when we rolled in there with a 97 nissan quest. Nobody would even say hi to us, And when we tried to explain what we wanted to the salesman, he wanted to see our credit first. Sometimes people don't have money, like us, but we have support, and somebody that wants to buy us a camper outright. So now i'm gonna find mom and pop r v place that really needs the sales and go pick one out there. Where i'm treated like a human being and not like a wallet. Every salesperson that spoke to us, spoke of promises to return calls, and then had excuses on why they didn't call us back. And once I pointed it out I got a lash in a text because I forgot my salesman's name. I would have guessed that camping world was built to build dreams and to bring families closer. But, unfortunately, I guess it's all about that bottom line.

  My first experience buying a camper from Camping World was certainly unforgettable—and not for any of the reasons they would hope. I walked in on Mother's Day ready to buy a travel trailer. My budget wasn't unreasonable. The only thing standing between me and a sale was the salesman they assigned me. Rather than listening to what I wanted, he showed me campers well outside my budget and offered all the enthusiasm of a DMV employee on a Friday afternoon. He repeatedly talked to me like I was an idiot. When I pointed at something in a closet and asked my boyfriend what it was, the salesman helpfully informed me that I was standing in a closet. Thank goodness. At 48 years old, I may not know everything, but I do know what a closet looks like. When I pointed out a crack running across a slide, he explained that the light. Again, thank you, sir. I wasn't questioning the existence of electricity. I was asking about the giant crack. His response? "That's wear and tear, honey." On a $30,000 camper. At that point I was done. After going home, I discovered several campers online that were within my budget that he never even bothered to show me, including one priced nearly $5,000 less than what he quoted me. A few days later I returned and requested someone else. Angie was much more helpful and eventually helped me find the camper I purchased. The next day I underwent reconstruction surgery. I had to deal with a license change, a truck repair, cancer recovery, and starting a new job. Somehow I still managed to get everything done faster than Camping World managed to prepare a camper sitting on their own lot. I was told my camper could be delivered. Then I was told it couldn't because the delivery driver was in the hospital. I was told I could pick it up. Then I was told I couldn't because it wasn't ready. Apparently someone decided to move my camper to the back of the line without asking me because it was being delivered. Closing day arrived. CLOSING DAY arrived, and the camper wasn't ready. The walkthrough was worthless. The technician spent twenty minutes explaining things while almost exclusively speaking to my boyfriend. Every question I asked was directed back to him as if I were a decorative houseplant standing nearby. News flash: I'm the one buying the camper. Then I discovered they had replaced a broken faucet with what appeared to be the cheapest faucet available. I bought a better one myself, and they graciously offered not to charge me an installation fee. How generous. Justin in finance is great. He was professional, knowledgeable, honest, and probably the only reason nobody ended up being pushed off a cliff. The excuses never stopped. Every delay came with another story about somebody's health issues. While I genuinely feel for anyone dealing with medical problems, customers are paying for a product and a service—not a collection of excuses. If you can't deliver campers, don't offer delivery. If you're short staffed, address the staffing problem. What you don't do is take someone's money and then act surprised when they expect the camper they purchased. After enough delays, I finally showed up demanding answers. Funny enough, the camper suddenly became ready the moment I appeared wanting to speak with management. Except it wasn't actually ready. The camper they claimed had been cleaned and detailed still had bugs in the cabinets, on the floor, food residue on the stove, insulation stuffed in the vents, and enough stink bugs hiding inside to qualify as tenants. Removing insulation- bugs started raining from the ceiling. To add the final touch, they gave me the wrong electrical adapters, requiring yet another trip back. Other than the ten days it took me to update my driver's license, Camping World had nineteen days to prepare this camper. Yet somehow they still couldn't manage to clean it, inspect it, equip it correctly, or have it ready on the day they scheduled me to take ownership. George Washington said: "It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one." Camping World should probably write that down.
