- MLMiguel LugoApr 20, 20262.0Improper battery installation at this location damaged my vehicle’s electrical sensor, causing it to break down in their parking lot on a Thursday night. It was not repaired until the following Wednesday. ***When I requested anything in writing, I was told their policy didn’t allow it.*** AAP reimbursed 3 days of a rental I had to put on my own card. The other 4 days of transportation were not taken care, and blamed their own commercial insurance being slow for the entire process dragging out. Before my keys were returned to me, I was required to sign a release of claims, even though I asked to send someone else for pick up. I fully expect a corporate reply below this review expressing regret that I had a “negative experience” and inviting me to DM them so they can “make it right.” To be clear: the time to make it right was the week I spent stranded. What I needed was a taxi home, repaired car first thing Friday morning, honest communication, and reimbursement for the days I couldn’t get around — not a scripted apology for hurt feelings from the same company that damaged the car in the first place.

The woman working at the cash register who according to my receipt is named Sharyia G. had a very unpleasant attitude and responded in a rude unprofessional manner throughout the course of our interaction. I finally had to say something, and told her she seemed very unfriendly. Sfhe responded with "my bad that is just how I am". Wrong line of work, if that is just how you are. Customers want friendly positve interations and not attitude. Also maybe ask if the customer has a core exchange instead of just ringing up full price, I had said I was there with my car to get it swapped out, so good thing I knew to say something or I would have been charged full price with no credit from the core turn-in. Keep this employee off the register and away from customers. If I see her next time I come in, I will either ask to be helped by someone else or leave and just go somewhere else. O'reily in Bluffton has friendly employees, probably should have just gone there. I will say the guy that installed the battery was friendly and helpful so shout out to him, wish I knew his name. Hopefully this employee will learn to be friendly and helpful to customers instead of having an unfriendly unprofessional demeanor.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
