Was heading to Myrtle Beach for family vacation and a small piece of metal flew off truck in front of us and put a 3-inch crack in the center of our windshield. Called Starte Farm and they suggested Safelite. Scheduled a replacement the very next day. The technician came to our beachfront rental and was fantastic. The new windshield looks amazing. Safelite and State Farm ROCK !!!!!

Very easy to accomplish, seamless experience from start to finish. Safelite website was easy to navigate, they file the insurance claim and do all the processing and billing, appointment was easy to make, technician was on time, easy to work with, repair was done with expediency. Required very little effort on my part.

Told me it was gonna be 90 minutes to 2 hours ended up being almost 4 hours and I saw them do that to multiple people in a row. Also, they couldn’t even get the sensors to work on multiple windshields which I witnessed while sitting in the waiting room for hours. Then this happens two days later (see picture). I would recommend you try another location as this one’s a hot mess.

They need to focus on their processes and communication. I indicating that I would be waiting for the repair (nearby, at Starbucks) yet someone thought my appointment was "drop off, all day". So the car was moved but not even started when I came back in an hour. All their TV advertising suggests that they will come to you, but the shop was 30 min away for me. And the hours listed online don't match the appointments you can schedule, causing confusion.

Setting up the appointment for my new windshield was very easy, and when rain forced me to change the appointment from my home to their facility, that process was also handled quickly and without any issues.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with a few things after the work was completed. The job was finished around 5:00 PM, which was closing time, so perhaps everyone was ready to wrap up for the day. However, I do feel a little more attention should have been given to the vehicle before returning it to me.
No one walked me out to the vehicle or did a final walk-around with me. Once I looked things over myself, I found grease on the inside pillar next to the windshield, along with a large grease mark ground into the door sill-step area, as though someone had been standing on it while working. Neither area had been cleaned.
I also noticed scratches in the clearcoat next to the windshield that appear to have been caused by a tool rubbing back and forth during the installation. Thankfully, the scratches look like they can probably be buffed out.
The windshield installation itself appears to be fine, and I appreciate how easy the scheduling process was. However, a simple final inspection, cleanup, and walk-around with the customer would have made the overall experience much better. When someone trusts you with their vehicle, it should be returned at least as clean and damage free as it was when it arrived.
I would use safe life in the future, but I would look for a different location. Does that mean Auto?
