- WGWilliam GreeneAug 28, 20261.0My father in law worked for General Motors for more than 30 years, and I can honestly say I have never had a more disappointing experience with a GM dealership than the one we had at Starling. We brought our vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation only. We made that very clear multiple times while at the dealership. It was also made clear when Daniel called us to discuss additional recommended work. We did not authorize that additional work. Despite that, your service technician proceeded with work on our vehicle that we did not request or approve and then we were charged for it. This is not a simple misunderstanding. When a customer is specifically asked whether they want additional work performed and does not authorize it, that work should not be completed and added to their bill. Customers should be able to trust that a dealership will only perform and charge them for services they have approved. Given my family's long history with General Motors, this experience is especially disappointing. We expected professionalism and transparency from a GM dealership, and unfortunately, our experience at Starling was the exact opposite. The service manager has not returned our phone calls either after reaching out.
