Ben and his team replaced a shifting window in our bathroom. The window was large and an elliptical shape and had to be manipulated over the tub and faucet to be replaced. As has been my experience with this group, they worked diligently in handling this tricky replacement and completed the replacement perfectly. I had the unfortunate experience of having to have my windshield replaced twice within a month’s span. Absolute Glass had done this same service for me a few years prior and was recommended by the Audi dealership so I decided to use them again for my recent repairs. They expertly repaired my windshield the first time and even replaced a minor part that was damaged during installation. They were honest and upfront about the situation when I probably wouldn’t have noticed it. The second time they went over and above and worked me into their tight service schedule to get my windshield replaced without me having to wait until they had availability the following week. I do not reside in that area and most often I drop my car off and pick it up when the service has been completed. Sometimes pick up would occur after business hours or a day or two after the fact. They had been so wonderful and accommodating in that regard. So much so, I sent a handwritten note and small gift of appreciation to Raymond, the kind technician/owner, for the exceptional service they provided. And because I picked up my vehicle after hours the second time, I was unable to sign and get a receipt for my records. By the way, these repairs were covered via claims through my insurance carrier. I requested a receipt along with the written note I sent them and decided to give Absolute Glass a call about getting a receipt in case they did not see the request included with the written note. I spoke with Mary who may have been a bit perturbed for some reason, but she was not pleasant at all. I asked for a receipt to be emailed to me and she agreed but also at the same time insinuated that I may be trying to submit the receipt to my insurance carrier for reimbursement because “some people” do that. I asked hadn’t my insurance carrier paid them already and she said not yet. So Mary actually implied that I wanted a receipt showing the work they performed, not for my records, but to perhaps fraudulently send to my insurance carrier for reimbursement before they paid Absolute Glass. I was taken aback. There’s something about my interaction with Mary that doesn’t sit well with me. And I’m detailing this experience to make consumers aware and let businesses know, you can do everything right and your great workmanship and excellent customer service reputation can be ruined by one bad incident with someone that represents your business. Someone projecting preconceived notions as a result of a simple request. I’m not sure what Mary’s issue was but she lacked professionalism in this instance. Hopefully this isn’t a reflection of character but of stress. Perhaps I should call my insurance provider to make sure they paid / intend to pay Absolute Glass because apparently they have some concerns/issues that have nothing to do with me at this point. The entire experience with Absolute Glass went from 5 stars to 1 star as a result of a two minute phone call.

It’s one thing to receive a great service, which I absolutely did in this case. It’s another thing altogether to enjoy the people delivering the service. Absolute Glass has a great team delivering this service. To date, I’ve used them on one commercial job and, now, a residential job. If/When I have an automotive need, this is where I’ll go. Up-front pricing, great service & superior finished product. I strongly recommend that others consider Absolute for all of your glass needs.
