They really seemed to work well as a team and when they did not know something they requested assistance from another team member and worked really well together. That says a lot to us! They were a great group of guys, They were welcoming, professional, and personal. They guided us through what to expect, were timely, thorough, helpful and go the job done!

After the oil change were directed to pull our truck outside for the battery exchange so the “bay time” would be within acceptable limits. It was sunny and 92 degrees outside the bays. It took 1 1/4 hours for the exchange. During which time the tech has great difficulty removing the old battery and even more difficulty installing the new one. After she said we were good to go I started the truck and two different battery and charging warnings appeared. Another 20 minutes went by and then we weee told the alternator was bad. It worked fine when we arrived. We were told there was nothing else they could do and that they could not test the alternator and suggested we go to Auto Zone to have it tested. Auto zone said the alternator was not working and sent us to the local Precision Tune. They began thier diagnostics and confirmed that the alternator was bad. After replacing the alternator they tested the system and the new alternator was “fried”. Further evaluation revealed that the fuse connected to the alternator located on the battery fuse board (located under the panel above the battery) had been damaged, apparently during the battery exchange at Valvoline as it was not inspected by Precision Tune prior to installing the alternator. Precision Tune could not locate a replacement fuse since by this time it was 4pm. Our truck had to be left there until Monday. The total cost from Precision Tune $1100.00. All of which could have been avoided had the Valvoline tech knew what she was doing in replacing the battery.
