  Our daughter just graduated from college and is navigating doing "adult" things on her own. She has a 2019 Toyota Highlander and an oil change and inspection runs about $80 at the Toyota dealership but takes over an hour. She is working and doesnt have that kind of time so went to Valvoline instant oil change on Pelham Rd. They charged her $117 for a basic oil change with no air filter, without telling her the costs firsts....and I know she should have asked. But what concerns me the most is that there was a coupon they could have applied but chose not too, and they added $7.99 for "extra oil". She came home in tears and very upset at the cost which she paid. I asked to see the paperwork and she didnt have any, I asked where is it and she said they didnt give her any. I immediately called the store and they said they emailed it, but to the previous owner of the car, not our daughter. The individual I talked with took a partial picture and sent it to me but even after I asked for him to explain why it was so much he just replied he was sending the receipt over. Our daughter, and me, definitely feel she was taken advantage of. I am very disappointed with this place and will never be going back. Fathers, dont let your kids go here alone.

  Friendly, fast service! Everyone I interacted with was respectful and professional. When I had questions, they took the time to explain everything clearly without ever making me feel talked down to. As a woman who doesn’t know much about cars, I really appreciated being treated with patience and respect. They also noticed an issue with my front axle, explained the grease they found, why it could become a problem over time, and recommended I have it looked at. I never felt pressured—just informed. I left feeling like both I and my car had genuinely been well taken care of. I’d definitely come back.

  Hello son here's the thing i moved from Boston to South Carolina and ever since im trying like really hard to keep doing the oil change with you guys because ive always had a great experience with valvoline in Boston. But here on South Carolina it’s challenging. I asked the guy to read a code on my care because the light had just came on he completely ignored me and the request i made. Never checked the battery level or the filter and now that im saying this i do hope they changed the oil filter. The other location i had to go back to ask them to check the oil that they had just changed because it was low. And not to mention the mess of oil trace they left under the car. So yeah valvoline in South Carolina is in deep trouble with the employees they have. And for my next oil change I’ll try somewhere else cuz it cant get any worse i think.
