- CBChad B.Jul 18, 20265.0I was driving around Florence in my vehicle I keep here for my layovers when all of a sudden my vehicle shot a plume of gray smoke out the back. Fearing the worst I pulled over and begin to diagnose and pray it wasn’t a head gasket. After a quick check, I saw the oil wasn’t milky, it was just severely overfilled by a previous competitor in the area, so I believe the PCV sucked oil into the combustion chamber. It’s 5:30pm on a Saturday afternoon so I went to fix this at Strickland Brothers. Ty came out and greeted me with a water and I explained the situation. He confirmed the level was way overfilled. Based on the condition of the oil, he didn’t want charge me for a complete oil change, so he directed me into the bay to drain some of the oil out. He got my level right and didn’t charge me. I made sure to tip him for his time and they gained a new customer! Thank you for helping to take care of my car in a pinch! I will see you at my next oil change!
