Upon arriving, Abe was sweeping the rugs at the front door, getting ready to close for the night. He was sweeping with purpose and as soon as we walked up, he stopped, made eye contact, and greeted us with respect and immediately walked to the counter with us to help. He was the most genuine soul we have met in a long time. He helped us get the best battery for our money. Although it was late, and the store was about to close, he didn’t just sale us the battery and hurried us on our way, he actually took the time to install the battery for us and made sure it cranked without any issues. He treated us like we were his kids, very patient and talked us through the process of installing the battery in case we ever had to do it ourselves. That is the service I wish I received at every establishment I go to. Way to go Abe! We were just driving through Denmark and you were our angel that kept us safe and made us feel like a part of the Advance Auto Parts family!!! ♥️ We will forever be thankful for the exceptional service we received at Advance Auto Parts in Denmark, SC - all because of Abe!!!!

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
