Had a windshield replaced on my new 2026 lexus. Waited 3 hrs at the shop. Once it was done the camera on the windshield had to be moved closer to rearview mirror. Next day turned the wipers on and the windshield is warped. Dead spot about a foot that the wipers won't clear. Defected windshield. Now I have

This is Philip Stanley. I am responding to the windshield repair from my Subaru that was done by the mirror, I think, at ZAMIR, he come out of the safe light office in the Greenville, South Carolina. I'll let you say he was very exceptional. He was quick and informative. I was wondering how I ended up having a cracker that I couldn't say anything, and he actually showed me it was like a little pen prick. He says, something very small hits you at high speed, and it caused a cracker about a foot long, and it went to you all need to be replaced. We did an excellent job, and I appreciate his attentional care, and I got you ended up doing the job because I would travel to a dentist and I was able to get most practically all of the pain for my comprehensive insurance or my vehicle, and I do appreciate that.

Horrible! The technician took 3.5 hours to replace windshield and left my truck cab full of glass. He did a horrible job putting trim back in place, broke my exterior vent and tried to blame Ford and the initial technician who came to my home with the incorrect windshield. I do not recommend.

I had a very disappointing experience with Safelite. I brought my vehicle in for what I believed was a windshield replacement, but after holding my vehicle for more than eight hours, I was told they couldn't perform the repair because of a diagnostic code. Concerned, I took my vehicle to the dealership and paid to have it scanned, only to find there were no diagnostic codes at all. After waiting several more days for that appointment, I drove another hour back to Safelite, only to discover they were never replacing the windshield in the first place—they were only planning to repair a small chip. This entire situation was a complete waste of my time. The repair could have been completed during my first visit if the staff had properly communicated what was being done and understood the condition of my vehicle. Unfortunately, it seemed like no one knew what was going on, and I was repeatedly given conflicting information. I would not recommend this location based on my experience. Better communication, proper diagnostics, and more knowledgeable staff would have made all the difference.

IF YOU NEED OEM PARTS - DO NOT USE THEM! I would give them a 0 star review if I could. Safe light, where I previously lived in Texas was amazing. Never had any issues. Here in the Columbia SC area, I would strongly recommend you use somebody else if you need OEM parts. I having been going back and forth with my insurance company and this company for 6 months trying to get them to fix my windshield. My husband did an online request for OEM. THEY EVEN GIVE AN OPTION FOR SCHEDULING THAT ALLOWS YOU TO CHOOSE OEM PARTS FOR YOUR VEHICLE! my husband had the windshield changed while I was out of town with a work rental car. He never met the person who changed it... only has a text message that said I'm done with your car. You will have to take it to the dealership to get the front camera recalibrated. They sent a certificate of calibration via email stating that it was done... When I took my vehicle to ford to get the front camera recalibrated, they advised me that the windshield was not oem, and that they were unable to calibrate it for an additional out of pocket cost of $450. It has been six months, and the only response that I am getting from anybody is.You will have to file a new claim. My insurance will not file a new claim without physical visible damage on the windshield. Now, because the front camera is not calibrated, the sensors go off randomly or not at all. And i'm literally stuck waiting for the windshield to crack again before I can put in a new claim. Nobody from safe light has called me has emailed me nothing after multiple attempts, a week for the past six months. They keep saying they did their job correctly and that there's nothing that they can do because I approved the windshield when noone signed or confirmed work that was completed on the car. They also proceeded to blame the Ford dealership, for lying to me and taking my money... I know everyone's cars are different, but I also know that my car requires oem parts to function properly for any portion of the vehicle. They are consistently gaslighting me, saying that it's my fault and that I just need to put in a new claim for a new windshield. They even stated that they need special approval from the insurance company to provide specific parts and that is more difficult... so they automatically run it for the cheapest after-market parts via a portal system rather than having to call. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. This should be an easy and quick fix that they refuse to resolve.
