Oil Change Services

Oil is the lifeblood of every standard vehicle on the road. It's crucial to regularly check your oil and schedule oil change service for your car to ensure it runs properly. Regular service also allows us to check for leaks in your engine that could shorten your vehicle's lifespan and lead to other avoidable problems.

Tire Rotation

Rotating your vehicle's tires is important for maintaining and managing treadwear on your tires, and in some cases is required in order to preserve your tires' warranty.

Brakes Service & Repair

Regular brake inspections help you to know when to service your brakes and can save you money by finding needed repairs before they become severe.

Mufflers & Exhaust

We can service, replace, and repair exhaust systems, catalytic converters, tailpipes, and mufflers. Ensuring these systems are working properly is key to elongating the life of your vehicle and maintaining optimal performance.

Wheel Alignment

Proper wheel and tire alignment helps your car's tires last longer, increases fuel economy, and improves your vehicle's handling. Our highly-trained tire alignment experts are ready to provide you the reliable, quality service you need to get back on the road.

Shocks, Struts & Suspension Replacement

Your vehicle's shocks, struts, and suspension are key components to ensure your vehicle's performance and a more comfortable ride. As such, it's important to properly maintain these components on your vehicle.

Car Battery Replacement and Installation

Nothing ruins a day faster than a dead car battery. Many factors could lead to your car not starting — a bad battery, failed alternator, or worn-out starter are just a few examples. Our highly-trained auto technicians and mechanics have decades of experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing worn out car batteries. We understand how important a reliable car battery is for your car or truck to run and operate reliably. Every car battery replacement and installation we perform uses trusted brands and comes with a limited warranty on parts and service.

TPMS Sensor Replacement

There's not much worse than getting in your car, turning that key and seeing that little exclamation point icon telling you that you have low tire pressure. But if you just filled up your tires yesterday and you're still seeing that warning, it may be time to replace your vehicle's TPMS sensor.

I cannot express enough gratitude for Fred and the team at Mavis. As a parent of a young woman in college, finding an auto shop that is honest, fair, and truly cares about customer safety means everything. Fred went completely above and beyond to help my daughter and make sure she was taken care of without taking advantage of her. Knowing she is in safe hands gives us complete peace of mind. Exceptional customer service—we will definitely be returning!

I came in with a flat tire right as they were closing. Jack was super kind and sweet and he assured me he could help even though it was so close to closing time. They did not make me feel bad about coming in so late and I was treated with the upmost respect and kindness. I was in and out within 20 minutes with a patched tire that was as good as new. I would rate these guys and Jack 100 stars if I could. Since I am new to town, this will be my go to place from now on and I will never go anywhere else. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough!!!

I called on Monday to set up car repair on Tuesday. I left the car there before opening hours on Tuesday. I did not get my car back until Friday afternoon. I was told it would be one day. I rarely got updates. I called and would be put on hold for up to 20 minutes. Most times when I was put on hold, they never picked back up. When I did get someone on the phone, they could not estimate when the car would be complete. They failed to recommend changing the front rotors, which clearly needed to be changed. The scariest thing was that they botched a connecting arm job and I had to bring it back. The chassis felt loose when they turned it over to me. They assured me it was fine and safe to drive. Fred did so at least three times. It was not. They failed to bolt the connector arm properly. I cannot believe the wheel stayed on. This poor craftsmanship put myself and others on the road at risk. It took two days to repair what they did incorrectly the first time. The financial settlement was not great, I paid for most all the work. I was informed the regional manager, Zach, would give me a call to discuss the issues I had. He has not yet. Complaints are being lodged with the SC Department of Consumer Affairs to keep others safe. DO NOT GO HERE! It’s the worse experience I’ve ever had buying anything. They compromised my safety and had the nerve to charge me for it. Mavis needs shut down this location for public safety until the employees there can be properly trained. Management is aware of this issue. Not doing some would be neglectful.

While the pricing was affordable and they were willing to work with me on the cost, unfortunately, my experience with the quality of service was not good. Mavis states that their policy is to start lug nuts by hand before using an impact gun, which is meant to prevent cross-threading. However, that does not appear to have been followed with my vehicle. I had to bring my car back several times because of a cross-threaded lug nut. Despite this, they would not take responsibility for the damage. More recently, I took my vehicle to Firestone and was informed that another lug nut had also been cross-threaded (Mavis being the last to touch the tires). While I initially saved money by coming here, the additional repairs caused by something as simple as improperly installing a lug nut have ended up costing me more in the long run. I understand that mistakes can happen, but taking ownership and making sure proper procedures are followed is extremely important, especially when working on something as important as a customer's wheels. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not return for tire service.

What a find! On the least desirable day (first day of school, headed to a doctor’s appt., running late, need gas in the car) I see a screw in my front tire…great…and I ask Siri where to go and she delivered…Mavis Tires and Brakes…when I saw the address on Bluff Road I immediately felt like I would be in good hands and boy was I… These guys rock! Yes, they have the technical and the skilled expertise to take care of your automotive needs, but they’re just good folks and good guys and it was a pleasurable experience all the way around and I couldn’t recommend them more highly! Rock on Mavis!
