Worst customer service and one of the worst experiences with ERAC. I reserved a compact SUV on Thursday, May 7, 2026 for a pickup at 3:30pm on Friday, May 8, 2026. My mom received a phone call on Friday, May 8, 2026 from an employee at this branch requesting to speak with me. I returned his phone call and provided him with my updated phone number. He confirmed if I was coming in to pick up the vehicle. He also alerted me that he was from a different branch and was just there assisting. When I arrived at 3:30pm, I was greeted with "you are hard to reach. We were trying to contact you because we are sold out and have no compact SUV due to graduation" After I pointed out that I had just spoke with the male employee, the female advised that she had a Genesis car but it required a major credit card. I informed her that I only had my debit card to which she replied, "let me check if I have any waivers for today that will allow me to rent the car (Genesis) to you without a major credit card." In the meantime, I asked to use their restroom and was only in there for less than 4 minutes. When I approached the counter while the female employee was typing up my agreement, the male employee was allegedly on a phone call with another customer and was offering the same Genesis to the customer (it was the only Genesis in their fleet). He also verified that the customer had a major credit card. Once confirming, he stated the female employee, "the customer has a major credit card." Within a few moments, a customer called and requested to be transferred into another vehicle. The male employee, who also handled this call, stated that he could switch her into a SUV because they had one available. Several obvious issues: 1) I was told that a compact SUV was not available but they offered a SUV to an existing customer. Where did that SUV come from and how was that immediately available? 2) Why was a follow up concerning the Genesis not provided to me after the female employee verbalized that it could be an option. 3) There were several "upgraded SUVs" in the parking lot and that was not offered 4) ERAC has been in business long enough to identify when they have a higher peak in reservations, to include graduations. Therefore, why not have an abundance of vehicles available for online reservations. 5) I was allowed to book the reservation online on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Why was that even an option if this location was sold out? Who is responsible for closing the online reservations? Who is responsible for reporting to corporate that the store is sold out? I have patronized ERAC since 2001 and procedurally I am aware that the branch locations can request cars from other locations including the airport. I am also aware that ERAC employees are permitted to drive vehicles home but that should not supersede meeting reservations. I have also witnessed racial bias in which car category ERAC will rent to specific demographics. While they placed me in a Hyundai Elantra, the female employee did not adjust my price and I was charged for the size of a compact SUV. To note, I returned after hours to this location on Saturday, May 9, 2026 to ensure that I locked my vehicle and, guess what? The same vehicles/SUVs that were "reserved" and available when I arrived for pick up on Friday, May 8, 2026 were still in the parking lot.

I will NEVER, and I do mean NEVER use this two notch and covenant Rd location again! I scheduled a jeep rental 2 weeks in advance before I went to pick it up, when I get there they tried to give me a huge gas guzzling man truck! The lady who returned it told me 60 dollars didn't even put it on a half tank, so there's no way I was going for that as a single mom of 1, it was the absolute opposite of what I needed. When I refused they told me the jeep needed a oil change they would call me when it was ready. Which I couldn't understand why that was not done being that I booked 2 weeks ahead. So I went back home. They called an hour later and told me it was ready to come pick it up, so I go back again, and upon my 2nd arrival ,they tell me oh we had to take it to pep boys again there was a nail in the tire 🙄. So I went home again. Then they called me another hour later and told me they had 2 returns coming in at 1 so I went back a 3rd time after 1 o clock 🙄 and of course it was more excuses...long story short, obviously they were calling me to come get vehicles that they kept renting out to other people before I could get back there. Totally unprofessional and frustrating! I ended up still getting a gas guzzling equinox. This was during the masters golf tournament in Augusta so all of the enterprises were sold out of compact cars, I had to end up switching it out in Charleston for a 2025 Corolla. Then the staff told me you have to have a degree to work there which is hard to believe, being that they operate like they have a 3rd grade education! Total waste of my time! DO NOT RECOMMEND ⛔👎🏾🚫

I made a reservation with this Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch a week in advance and received confirmation for my vehicle. Two days before my scheduled trip, a representative from the local branch informed me they did not currently have the vehicle available due to a golf tournament an hour away. While that was disappointing, I understood that unexpected issues can happen. However, the representative assured me she would follow up by 12:00 PM the next day with an update—whether or not a vehicle could be secured as she stated she would try and find an alternative option so I could make other arrangements if needed. Unfortunately, I never received that call. By 2:30 PM, I still had not heard anything. I made multiple attempts to contact the branch, left several voicemails, and still received no response. By 4:00 PM—the day before my trip—I had no communication whatsoever. This lack of follow-through and communication is extremely unprofessional. I made it clear that I understood if a vehicle wasn’t available, but when a company commits to following up, there should be accountability and integrity in honoring that commitment. Very disappointing experience, especially when trying to plan something important for my family.
