The manager Adrienne of this Advance Auto Parts location on Two Notch is a complete racist against white customers in every way imaginable.
I have been coming to this location for the last 6 months weekly to get parts for my shop because it is the closest to my location.
Every time I come in the store, there’s nonsense going on. I come to pick up my orders, and the manager Adrienne will blow me off and be too busy talking with other employees and other customers to help me.
A few weeks ago I went in the store and asked if my order had been picked. She was speaking with a friend of hers who was African American, I guess a customer, and she waved her finger at me and said just a minute. They proceeded to talk about personal stuff for another few minutes till that person walked out and left as she was making jokes and laughing with them. Then she turned to me scowled, and said “what do you need” I proceeded to tell her that I placed an online order and I was coming to pick it up. She typed something into the computer and said it’s not ready yet and she turned around and walked away.
Her tone completely changes if a white person comes in the store, it’s uncomfortable and everyone around this area knows it. My business partner would go to the store and had the exact same experience with her.
It is always like this, she acts as thought white customers are an inconvenience to her. Again, I understand the demographics of the area, but all of her employees are African American too, and they all act the same way because they see her do it. It’s ridiculous that in today’s day and age we have to deal with this.
Beyond that the employees at the store are always working on their cars in the parking lot. I come in at night and they’re blaring music from their phones, last week one of them had brought a chair up to the front and was sitting on it watching Netflix on his phone.
They keep all the Freon behind the register and I asked if I could get a bottle of Freon and he “said yeah man whatever get whatever you want.” And just waved at me to go behind the register and get it. Half the time you can’t even tell who an employee is because they’re all wearing hoodies and stuff like that! One time I asked a person for help behind the register and it wasn’t even an employee, it was a friend I guess of theirs hanging out at the store! Had to go get the employee who was in the bathroom! Who runs a business like this??!?
I only bring this up now because this is the way this manager Adrienne handles ALL white customers that come into the store. I understand it’s a predominantly African-American clientele in the area, but I am not the only one that’s had this racist experience. As a matter of fact, I’ve been told multiple occasions by many other shop owners and customers “do not go to that Advance Auto Parts on Two Notch if you’re white, they don’t want your business.” I have been told that for the last 4 years, and I am finally done. I will make sure all of my customers and friends and family know as well, you have a hardcore anti white racist managing the Advance Auto Parts across from the mall on Two Notch Road.
The only reason that I even went to that specific store is because it’s closer for me and gas prices are high. However, at this point, I’m done with the business here, I will drive down the road to go to another store that is massively more friendly and wants my business and doesn’t judge me by the color of my (caucasian) skin.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?
Expand FAQ item
Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
